The sudden, absolute silence in the master suite was as violently jarring as a gunshot.
Yanna's body spasmed, a massive, full-body convulsion that rattled the heavy leather straps binding her wrists and ankles to the bed frame. For six hours, the deep, industrial thrum of the tungsten plug had been her entire universe. It had vibrated through her cervix, down her femurs, and up into her teeth. Now, the quiet left her suspended in a terrifying, echoing void.
She whimpered into the heavy steel ring gag. Saliva bubbled at the corners of her stretched lips, soaking into the thick leather strap buckled behind her head. The leather blindfold kept her in total darkness.
She heard the soft, deliberate rustle of silk.
"The timer has expired," Camille's voice drifted over her, cool and terrifyingly close.
Yanna thrashed her head against the mattress. Mmmmph! Nnnnngh!
