The narrator began, "Later that night, Joseph performed his song on stage at Bird Karaoke as Angelica, Megan, and the crowd watched. The audience applauded when he finished." Afterward, Joseph headed backstage, and it was Angelica's turn to sing. As she took the microphone, the entire audience waved their arms together in support. Angelica sang about her feelings for someone while thinking of that special person. Joseph watched her and smiled; Angelica caught his gaze and grinned back as she continued singing. When her performance ended, applause filled the room. The narrator added, "Angelica tried to find Joseph in the crowd, but he had already left before she could speak to him." Hearing music outside, she followed its sound and discovered Joseph singing a reprise of his earlier song, intended just for her. Then, the Police arrived, and Angelica vanished. A bat fluttered past Joseph and the officers. The Police examined Joseph with a monster detector, which confirmed he was human. Chief Jade remarked, "That's odd; I swear there was a vampire here moments ago." Joseph replied, "Well, I'm not a vampire." Overhearing this, the bat quickly flew away.
The next day, the narrator noted, "Megan and Joseph went shopping in town." While browsing, a necklace in a shop window caught Joseph's attention, prompting him to purchase it. As soon as he put it on, the jewel glowed green, drawing Megan's attention as well. Joseph leaned down and said, "Oh, Megan, I think I'm going to be sick." Megan supported Joseph as he clutched his stomach. She asked if he was alright, and Joseph handed over his money and shopping list, saying, "Yes, I just suddenly feel ill. I'll go home and rest." Megan agreed and finished the shopping while Joseph returned home and fell asleep in his room.
Upon arriving home, Megan noticed Joseph had cleaned the house, leaving it spotless, before putting away the groceries. She checked on him and found him tidying his room, which now looked immaculate. The amulet around his neck had turned yellow. Megan asked how he was feeling, and Joseph responded enthusiastically, "Better than ever! I've cleaned everything, tended the garden, and even made dinner." Taken aback, Megan said, "Wow, Joseph. You've never behaved like this before." She remarked, 'Cleaning, cooking, and movie renting—he is certainly unique, and I intend to observe him closely from tomorrow onward.'"
The narrator continued, "That night, the sky cleared, and the full moon appeared, during which Joseph experienced a disturbing dream. His physical appearance began to change—fur grew, his eyes turned blue, and he developed fangs. He subsequently exited through the window and ventured into town, emitting snarling sounds." Meanwhile, Megan was awakened by howling outside, accompanied by flashes of lightning illuminating her room and decorations. Megan commented, "Perhaps I should consider redecorating." The narrator noted, "Megan heard the howling but chose to disregard it." Megan then concluded, "It is probably just a coyote."
The narrator explained, "Joseph had breakfast with his sister the next morning, and Megan noticed something strange about him—he was drooling over the sausage." Megan teased, "Drool check, Joseph." Joseph quickly wiped his mouth, apologizing. After they finished eating, Joseph left the house, unaware that Megan was secretly following and recording him, hoping to catch him doing something suspicious. However, all she captured was Joseph gazing at a cat stuck in a tree. He promptly climbed up, rescued the cat, sat in the tree for a moment, gently stroking it, before descending.
Soon after, Megan saw Joseph enter a homeless shelter. Peeking through the window, she filmed him working in the kitchen and serving food to those in need, still without his knowledge. She continued recording as he helped elderly people cross the street in an orange vest, and one grateful woman hugged him, saying, "You're such a good boy." The narrator described how Megan grew frustrated by Joseph's consistently kind actions. But what she didn't notice was that Joseph's amulet glowed pink after the woman's words, causing a tail to sprout from his pants and wag. Surprised, Joseph chased and caught his tail before concealing it. The amulet then shone purple, and his tail vanished.
After completing his good deeds, Joseph headed home, but Megan arrived first. She uploaded her videos of Joseph's kindness to YouTube, where they quickly accumulated over 300 views in just an hour and received only one dislike—from someone in prison. All the comments were positive. Megan was both stunned and skeptical, thinking no one could be this nice. Determined, she muttered, "He must be hiding something. And I'm going to find out what."
After shutting her laptop, Megan decided to watch Joseph until bedtime. When she heard a knock, she opened the door to find Franco, Joseph's closest friend. Franco greeted her and asked if Joseph was at home. Megan replied that he isn't here yet, but he should arrive soon. Shortly after, Joseph arrived and saw Franco waiting for him. Holding hands, Joseph and Franco dashed outside, with Megan trailing behind, to the playground where they played on the swings together.
Joseph's attention shifted when he spotted dogs in the park and ran toward them; Franco called after him. Megan followed them and watched Joseph sitting among the dogs while Franco petted them. She filmed them playing, growing frustrated as Joseph continued to behave perfectly.
Unable to catch Joseph doing anything wrong, Megan eventually gave up and left for home. Soon after, Joseph's amulet turned orange and his mood soured. He told Franco he'd be right back, then wandered to the docks in the park, closing his eyes and letting his arms fall limp by his sides. Once he realized he was alone, Joseph knelt, banged his head on the ground, and cried out for Angelica, whom he missed deeply. Feeling a bit better, he returned to Franco, and together they went back to Joseph's house. Joseph invited Franco to stay for dinner, and Franco accepted happily. Joseph then offered to make dinner for all three of them.
The narrator explained that Joseph made dinner for Megan, himself, and Franco. Megan, however, grew frustrated because she couldn't tolerate the situation. As Angelica entered, Joseph's amulet began glowing pink, causing him to sprout a wagging tail from his pants. Embarrassed, Joseph quickly grabbed the tail to hide it, worried that either Angelica or Megan might notice. Then, as his amulet glowed purple, the tail disappeared.

She cracked the door open to spy on them and saw Joseph and Angelica singing together, with Joseph pulling Angelica closer for the duet. Megan whispered to herself that it was probably just for the performance, like when she and Joseph had shared a kiss for a song. She decided to leave them to rehearse.
When their practice ended, Angelica was delighted and told Joseph, "That was great." She hugged him, and he hugged her back. As she let go, Joseph's necklace glowed pink once again, and he grew a tail that started wagging. Embarrassed, Joseph tried to conceal the tail behind his back and felt a rush of satisfaction. The necklace then shone purple, causing the tail to disappear. Joseph breathed deeply, relieved that he had nearly exposed his secret but managed to keep it hidden.
