The Human Order Sustenance Security Agency, Chaldea. An organization that observes the worlds that cannot be seen by magecraft alone and the worlds that cannot be calculated by science alone. It operates day and night to ensure the continuation of a human history that has been proven to perish in the year 2017.
And then, the cause of humanity's extinction appeared.
Goetia, the self-proclaimed King of Demon Gods, created seven "Singularities" in different historical eras, intending to incinerate all of human history and use it as fuel for a journey through time. His goal was to reach the birth of the planet and replace Earth itself.
After Team A, a group of god-tier masters (save for Kadoc), was taken out in a single blow by the Grand Bomber, Leff, the temp worker Guda, along with the Lecherous Eggplant and the Merlin-beast, began the journey to restore the Human Order.
The seventh of these Singularities was ancient Mesopotamia in the year 2655 B.C.
—The land of Uruk, ruled by the "Wedge of Heaven, the Wise King Gilgamesh" after he had concluded his quest for the herb of immortality. This proud and prosperous land now faced the crisis of extinction, ravaged by a Three Goddess Alliance and a multitude of demonic beasts.
The three goddesses in question were—
Ereshkigal, who, fearing the other two goddesses would annihilate all of humanity, decided to take humanity's souls herself to give them a peaceful home in the underworld.
Quetzalcoatl, who witnessed humanity's potential and fighting spirit in a dream, was so moved that she came to believe all humans were worthy of her protection.
And Gorgon, the Queen of Demonic Beasts, who, with Kingu's help, obtained Tiamat's Authority of the Hundred-Beast Matriarch and resolved to destroy the world.
However, her other aspect, Medusa Lily, did not seem to agree with her ideas. Furthermore, the source of her Authority, Tiamat, merely wished for self-preservation, not self-annihilation. Kingu, who served her, was a total mama's boy who would do whatever Tiamat said. Additionally, because his original body was that of Enkidu, he had a rather delicate relationship with Gilgamesh.
The young man, who was originally from the Type-Moon world, explained the crisis facing this world to the two somewhat bewildered girls beside him.
"Let me ask you something. Why does the world-ending 'Three Goddess Alliance' have five members? And... why are three of them benevolent gods who care about humanity, with another one only fighting back because she's being forced to?"
Kiana, who had finally managed to accept the fact that she was now in another world, looked at the young man explaining the situation and asked in confusion.
In her entire life, she had never heard of anything so absurd.
At least the Black Organization has Gin to set a baseline for competence!
"That's why I said this place is the Absolute Traitor Front: Babylonia," Li Zihan explained with utmost seriousness.
"So, Boss, your next mission is to defeat the master of the Ring of Light in the sky and the Queen of Demonic Beasts?"
Bronya, whose comprehension was clearly a step above Miss Kiana's, looked up at the ring of light in the sky, her small face tense.
Although Li Zihan had deliberately made things sound easy, he couldn't hide certain facts.
A super-monster existed in this world, one that had incinerated two thousand years of human history in its attempt to replace the Earth. The Queen of Demonic Beasts, Gorgon, was currently hunting humans indiscriminately.
Gorgon was one thing; after all, according to Li Zihan's explanation, she was a divine-level existence. Judging by his track record of taking girls on god-slaying trips, dealing with her would surely be no difficult task.
But—
That Beast of Pity, Goetia...
Wasn't he a bit too broken?
"I admit, the plan sounds like I'm asking for a beating." The man, who absolutely could not win a straight fight against a Goetia who had been charging up for three thousand years, said.
It was a fact.
As a complete Herrscher of Reason, augmented by the powers of Erosion and Consciousness, Li Zihan's full-power output surpassed that of most Lostbelt Kings. Trading a few blows with a Beast wouldn't be a problem.
But that Goetia fellow... had been charging up for millennia.
Fight his ass.
Fortunately, the silver lining was that dealing with that bastard Goetia didn't require force. The same principle applied to Tiamat.
The young man, who had never intended to resolve the Goetia and Tiamat situation through violence from the very beginning, stretched lazily.
"But, with a little maneuvering, it won't be difficult to take care of the Beast of Pity, Goetia, and the Beast of Regression, Tiamat."
The best way to deal with Goetia was actually to grab Merlin's #1 fan, Romani, and drag him over to negotiate.
The First Beast, Goetia, whose grand design surpassed all gods on Earth, was powerful. Even among all the Beasts, he was one of the strongest. But his essence was a collective of the seventy-two Demon God Pillars—a system of magecraft created by Solomon. He was an existence predicated on Solomon. At least, that was the case until he succeeded in replacing the Earth.
And Merlin's #1 fan—Romani—still held his first Noble Phantasm from his time as King Solomon.

The First Noble Phantasm. Not Goetia's, but the one possessed by the true King Solomon. It is a poem of farewell that relinquishes all the deeds, miracles, and magecraft he has ever achieved.
Upon its activation, all the blessings Solomon received from God are returned to the heavens, and he loses the eyes that gaze upon the world. The effect is the death of King Solomon. This can be considered a safety device prepared by Solomon for the distant future when "magecraft" becomes an evil for humanity, allowing him to destroy it all.
When used as a Noble Phantasm, all traces of Solomon are erased from the world—even from the Throne of Heroes.
Once Solomon uses this Noble Phantasm, Goetia, whose very existence is based upon him, will collapse as easily as a building whose foundation has been ripped out from under it.
So, the solution for Goetia was exceptionally simple.
Drag the Doctor over to negotiate with Goetia. Inform him that other worlds exist, and that he could be sent to one of them to achieve his grand design there.
The Beast of Regression, Tiamat, wasn't hard to deal with either.
Tiamat had little intellect left; she was an existence that moved purely on instinct.
Yes, all he had to do was open a gate to the Sea of Imaginary Numbers in her path after she woke up. He wouldn't even have to push her; there was a high probability she would just fall right back in on her own.
"So, for now, let's find a place to settle down, finish the main quest, and then go find the people from Chaldea."
The man, who planned to first teach Bronya time magecraft and hit on—ahem, resolve the emotional baggage between Kiana and Sirin, began to ponder.
But—
Where would be a good place to stay?
He had, in a past life, killed Uruk's biggest local bully, Gilgamesh. It would be pretty awkward to just show up and meet Gilgamesh the model worker, wouldn't it?
And then—
He saw a flash of tawny light streak across the horizon.
"There we go."
Seeing that light, a slight smile played on the young man's lips.
He'd found his landlord.
