After seeing Blair Flannigan back to her dormitory, Alexis Rhodes descended from upstairs and walked to the entrance of the Obelisk Blue girls' dorm.
Looking at Jaden Yuki standing there, Alexis sighed and spoke, "Can you tell me everything that happened now?"
Her expression was incredibly serious. She had suddenly realized that Jaden always seemed to be dealing with things hidden from the public eye things that likely involved the Shadow Duels related to her brother's disappearance. She wanted to know more, not just for her brother's sake, but because she wanted to understand Jaden himself.
"As a Duelist, you should have heard of Duel Spirits before," Jaden said, closing his eyes and leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.
"Duel Spirits? That's just... supposed to be a legend..." Alexis started to say, but then she fell silent. Although she wanted to claim they were only myths, her experience in the previous duel had forced her to accept the truth behind the legends.
"All I can say is that everything is related to spirits," Jaden continued. "This card is one I designed myself, and its power comes from a Duel Spirit of the future."
Jaden flipped over the card held between his fingers. It was the card he had designed based on future technology: Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit.
"This card..." Alexis's eyes widened as she read the description.

"A Tuner? What kind of card is this?" Alexis had never seen such a type before, and her mind felt a bit hazy from the shock.
"Like I said, this is a power from the future." Jaden tucked Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit back into his deck. "There are five more cards with similar strength, each possessing unique abilities. My primary goal right now is to collect the remaining five."
Alexis listened, only half-understanding. Once Jaden finished, she couldn't help but offer, "Listen, I can help you..."
"That won't be necessary. The fewer people who know about this, the better," Jaden interrupted ruthlessly. Giving her a meaningful look, he added, "I hope you are the last person to find out about this."
He turned and walked away into the dark night. Watching his silhouette gradually vanish into the shadows, Alexis felt an emptiness in her heart. She let out a helpless sigh. In Jaden's eyes, is my strength still not enough to help him?
Back in his dormitory, Jaden closed the door, and the radiance of the Supreme King surfaced in his eyes. Immediately afterward, the phantom image of Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit appeared before him.
The white-haired, red-eyed girl showed signs of being battered and bruised. Her eyes were rimmed with purple, and she twitched slightly, looking utterly wretched. Upon seeing Jaden, she looked as if she had seen a ghost, immediately shrinking into a corner.
"Su Supreme King, please spare my life! I I'll behave, I promise!"

"Yubel... what happened?"
Yubel's phantom floated beside Jaden, her arms crossed and her face cold. "A new companion needs to be taught how to listen, don't they?"
Jaden nodded; that much was fair. It was unrealistic to expect a spirit to submit based solely on high ideals or love. Aside from spirits like Yubel and Winged Kuriboh, who were naturally fond of him, others like Lava Golem had to be subdued through raw force.
But still, she had been beaten quite badly. She was a girl, after all.
"In any case, we're companions from now on. Let's try to be a bit more united," Jaden said, walking toward Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit.
He opened his hand, and a soft power instantly enveloped her body. To the spirit's astonishment, she could feel her injuries rapidly healing. Her power surged in an instant, reaching a peak that far surpassed her original self.

"Um, can I choose not to join?" she asked with dead fish eyes.
"Yubel." Jaden's smile vanished instantly. He stood up and made a gesture to hand her back over.
"Wait! I'll join! I'll join!"
Fortunately, after her 'initiation ritual,' the girl knew exactly what Yubel was capable of. Yubel clearly wasn't someone to be trifled with; her presence alone was terrifying to the extreme.
Seeing Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit hold her head in surrender, Jaden nodded with satisfaction. He then turned his gaze toward the dark night outside the window.
"Now that I've recovered Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit, the next one should be Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion."
The Abandoned Dorm, huh... that spirit certainly knew how to pick a spot.
The next day, Blair Flannigan stood on the Academy's pier with her bags packed.
She didn't remember much about the previous night. All she knew was that she had lost a duel to Alexis Rhodes. According to their wager, she had to leave Duel Academy and return to where she belonged.
"Lord Jaden..." She looked back at the school, an undetectable passion swirling in her eyes. "Even though I lost, I won't give up! Just wait for me! This time next year, I'll definitely come back for you!"
With that small obsession held close to her heart, the girl stepped onto the passenger ship and vanished into the vast sea.
Up on a distant sea cliff, Jaden silently watched the ship depart, feeling a slight sense of relief.
"Meow." Pharaoh the cat crouched beside him and rubbed against his leg. Jaden reached into his pocket, grabbed a handful of cat food, and fed it to him.
"Next, we go to the Abandoned Dorm to find Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion."
Watching Pharaoh gobble down the food, Jaden turned his eyes toward the deep forest where the Abandoned Dorm sat. "Ghost Belle, the child ghost from the Haunted Mansion 1.4... A dormitory filled with dark energy really is the perfect home field for her."
He pondered for a moment. Once Pharaoh had finished eating, Jaden picked up the heavy, fat cat and began walking toward the classrooms.
Before officially confronting Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion, he needed to make the necessary preparations. Jaden had no intention of entering a duel without being certain of his victory.
Meanwhile, inside the Abandoned Dorm...
The place looked completely different from when Jaden had last entered. The building was now shrouded in thick clusters of black mist. An unsettling aura loomed over the sky.
In a derelict room on the second floor, a grey-haired girl with a bow sat in black gothic attire. A dark, sickly smile played across her pale, cute face.
"Jaden Yuki, the legendary Duelist... Come and play with me soon, hehehe..."
