Chapter 364 - Chapter 364: Attack on Iwagakure

"You're doing this on purpose, aren't you?"

"You're the one who said you'd quit gambling, not me..."

"Bastard! You did it on purpose!"

Tsunade was on the verge of losing it completely. Who was she? The Queen of Gambling! She'd been gambling since she was little. Asking her to quit gambling was like asking for her life.

Gekko Chizan looked at the nearly berserk Tsunade before him, the corners of his mouth curling upward uncontrollably.

Damn, he hadn't even meant to do anything, and yet it sent Tsunade into a frenzy. And he even got a nice reward out of it. Tsk tsk… two birds with one stone.

Those Explosive Tags had been something the damn system forced on him anyway. Giving them away didn't matter. He couldn't exchange them for much money, and he didn't like using them either.

Tsunade clenched her fists, forcing herself not to punch someone. She ground her teeth and hissed,

"Gekko Chizan, I'll remember this."

Gekko Chizan only shrugged nonchalantly.

"You said it yourself. What? Planning to go back on your word?"

Tsunade's entire face flushed red. She was about to blow a fuse.

Infuriating! Too infuriating! This bastard was definitely getting back at her!

"Hmph! I'll keep my word! When the war ends, I'll quit gambling! Just you wait!"

Gekko Chizan nearly burst out laughing. If he didn't know Tsunade so well, he might have believed her.

But Tsunade? There were two things she could never give up—booze and gambling. Words were just words.

Very soon, all the Explosive Tags were distributed, and the battle was about to begin.

"Tsk tsk tsk, I really can't wait to see you quit gambling, Tsunade-sama."

"Summoning Technique!"

"Boom!"

As the Iwagakure forces approached, Gekko Chizan slammed his hand on the ground to perform the Summoning Technique.

A plume of white smoke exploded upward.

Jinlin immediately lifted Gekko Chizan onto its head. With his arms folded across his chest, standing atop the golden serpent's head, he looked just like Orochimaru.

Around Jinlin, five massive boas appeared.

The sudden emergence of the giant serpents boosted Konoha's morale.

"Hmph. He's just like his teacher."

"Everyone, prepare for battle!"

The Iwagakure vanguard—the Poison Bees—surged forward like a flood.

"Fire Style!"

"Don't let them get close!"

At Tsunade's command, massive Fireballs and Phoenix Flames from the Uchiha clan, combined with the grand flames of the Sarutobi clan, blasted through the air.

But against the blazing flames, the Poison Bees didn't react at all. They just pushed forward, unfazed, through the fire.

"Damn it, are these Poison Bees not afraid of death?"

"Keep going! Don't stop the Fire Style!"

"Everyone else, use Explosive Tags for aerial support!"

Seeing that the Fire Style couldn't hold the bees back, Tsunade issued new orders.

In an instant, countless Explosive Tags tied to kunai were thrown into the sky.

"Boom!"

A chain of explosions went off overhead.

But even then, the Poison Bees kept swarming like a tidal wave.

At the same time, the main Iwagakure forces charged forward.

"Combined Ninjutsu!"

"Activate!"

As one of the commanders, Tōshirō immediately shouted his order.

"Earth Style: Rock Iron Cannon Technique!"

For Iwagakure's earth-style shinobi, this was a basic ninjutsu nearly everyone could perform.

A pebble was spat from their mouths, then grew rapidly midair, turning into massive solid stone shells that rained down like artillery.

If just one person used this technique, its power was limited. But if a thousand used it at once, the effect was terrifying.

In an instant, countless boulders hailed down toward Konoha's defensive line.

"A bunch of pebbles think they can turn the tide?"

"Chizan! Show them what we've got!"

Tsunade's disdainful voice rang out, but she didn't move herself—she ordered Gekko Chizan instead.

Standing on Jinlin's head, Gekko Chizan was speechless.

This was definitely revenge. This woman… so petty.

The clash in the air had already begun.

The Poison Bees faced off against the kikaichū and Fire Style.

The ground forces hadn't yet clashed directly, but Iwagakure's first wave of attacks had already arrived.

"Tch, fine."

"Let's see… Earth Style against Earth Style, who's afraid of who?"

The range and power of ninjutsu depended entirely on chakra reserves and proficiency.

Gekko Chizan was highly skilled in defensive ninjutsu.

His hands formed hand seals rapidly as he shouted, "Earth Style: Earth Flow Wall!"

A tall, solid wall of earth erupted from the ground. The giant stone shells from the Iwagakure shinobi slammed against it, sending dust and debris flying.

But the attack didn't stop there—more stone shells kept coming from behind.

"Hmph, you think that'll stop us?" the Iwagakure shinobi jeered, increasing their chakra output. The stone shells became faster and heavier.

Sweat beaded on Gekko Chizan's forehead. Gritting his teeth, he poured more chakra into the Earth Flow Wall.

Just then, Jinlin suddenly lunged forward, its golden body like a blade slicing through the air.

The five boas followed close behind.

Seeing the massive serpents charging, the Iwagakure shinobi panicked. Large summoned beasts on the battlefield were terrifying.

"Don't panic!"

Two figures rushed forward from the Iwagakure ranks—Kitsuchi, and the jonin Taiseki.

Two giant stone golems erupted from the ground and charged toward Jinlin.

"Two stone puppets? You think you can stop me?"

Jinlin sneered, its enormous body brimming with strength.

After casting the technique, Kitsuchi and Taiseki didn't stop—they raised their arms, rallying more Iwagakure shinobi to their side.

They pressed their palms against the ground and shouted in unison:

The ground in front of them cracked open instantly.

Deep fissures split the battlefield, snaking toward Jinlin.

But Jinlin wasn't afraid in the slightest. Its massive body slithered through the gaps, sending dirt and rock flying in its wake.

"Earth Style: Mountain Rock Collapse!" Kitsuchi commanded.

Numerous Iwagakure shinobi unleashed their ninjutsu together. The mountainsides on both flanks began to loosen as boulders tumbled down toward Jinlin and the boas behind it.

Jinlin twisted its body, deflecting part of the avalanche with its hardened scales. But some rocks still smashed into it, slowing its advance.

Jinlin's eyes glinted with murderous light. It tried to surge forward but was blocked.

The boas were also held back by the chain of attacks.

But this defense also slowed Iwagakure's offensive momentum. With the ground ahead collapsed, they had to go around, making their advance much less efficient.

"They're just a few snakes. Don't let them stop the charge!"

"Ambush unit—advance underground!"

Tōshirō, as commander, quickly came up with a counter-strategy.
