The group entered an area with multiple cave ledges. "That's gonna be a lot of jumping to do," Michelle said with a sweatdrop.
CatNap looked at Michelle. "I HAVE A BETTER IDEA..." he said.
Michelle turned to CatNap as he lay on the ground. "YOU AND THE SMALLER TOYS CLIMB ON..." he continued.
Michelle was surprised before looking at CatNap. "I get what your idea is, but... are you sure?" she asked.
CatNap looked at Michelle with happy eyes. "IT WOULD BE A GREAT HONOR, ANGEL..." he said.
Michelle stared at CatNap before nodding. "Well, as long as you're OK with it..." she said before turning her head to Miss Delight and the smaller toys. "Climb on CatNap's back."
As the group approached CatNap, Michelle and Miss Delight helped Bunzo Bunny and the Mini Huggies climb on CatNap's back. DogDay picked up PJ Pug-A-Pillar and looked at him. "You can hold onto me if you want," he said.
PJ Pug-A-Pillar happily panted at DogDay before he started licking his face, which made him turn his head away with a slight chuckle. "Hey, stop that," he continued.
Michelle giggled as she helped Miss Delight get on CatNap's back. Soon after, Michelle climbed on CatNap's back before looking at him and gently patting his head. "Ready to go when you are," she said.
CatNap nodded as he stood up and looked forward. "HANG ON..." he said.
CatNap leaped from one ledge to another, which made the group on his back hold onto him while DogDay followed behind him. When the duo reached the top, they turned right and spotted a gap in the distance.
CatNap sprinted forward before jumping; after he landed on the other side, DogDay sprinted forward before jumping to the other side. As the duo walked forward, they heard feminine, high-pitched screeches, which made them stop, and the group looked up.
Michelle stared at the roof, worried. "Kissy..." she said in a low voice before looking down and closing her eyes. "Please keep her safe, you two... and protect Poppy when you find her..."
DogDay looked at Michelle, concerned. "Misha..." he said in a low voice.
Michelle shook her head and opened her eyes. "I'm fine..." she said before petting CatNap's head. "Let's keep going."
CatNap nodded as he walked forward; DogDay stared at Michelle before walking behind them. As the duo entered a partially destroyed hallway, Michelle looked around with a wary glance. "This place looks so cryptic..." she said.
When Michelle turned her head to the left, she saw paint on the wall that said 'To Prison' and a white arrow pointing to the right, which mortified her. "A prison... inside a toy factory..." she said in a low voice.
CatNap looked forward. "THE COMPANY HIRED A DIFFERENT COMPANY TO CREATE THIS PLACE..." he said, which made Michelle look at him. "THEY USED IT TO KEEP EXPERIMENTS LIKE ME AWAY FROM THE PUBLIC..."
Michelle frowned a bit and petted CatNap's head, which made him glance at her. "I'm sorry you had to go through that..." she said.
CatNap closed his eyes and purred. "NO NEED TO APOLOGIZE, ANGEL..." he said. "YOU HAD NO IDEA..."
Michelle realized something and turned her head to DogDay. "This Safe Haven... I assume that it's near this prison?" she asked.
DogDay nodded. "It used to serve as a defensible area for Playtime Co.'s security guards that's connected to the prison," he said. "However, after the Hour of Joy, Doey and Suzy were the ones to discover the place and turned it into Safe Haven."
DogDay crossed his arms while humming a bit. "If I remember correctly, Doey was usually the one trying to find lost toys and bring them here while Suzy remained in Safe Haven," he continued.
Michelle sighed. "Yeah, that's a total Kevin move," she said, which made DogDay look at her. "Every time he roughhouses with Joseph or me, he'd always make sure Katie didn't see it."
DogDay looked at Michelle with shocked eyes. "You roughhouse with Kevin?" he asked.
Michelle chuckled a bit and rubbed the back of her neck. "We do on a few occasions, but I think he was less rough on me than Joseph," she said. "I always told him that I'm not as prissy and fragile as the other girls, and yet he still goes easy on me."
Bunzo Bunny looked at Michelle. "Maybe this Kevin guy has a crush on you, Big Sis," he said.
Michelle blushed and turned her head to Bunzo Bunny. "What?!" she shouted.
Michelle quickly shook her head. "N-No, that can't be it," she said before looking forward. "I-I mean... I was the one who found his sister, so he probably sees me as another sibling or like a family friend..."
Bunzo Bunny grinned. "Your red cheeks say otherwise..." he said.
Michelle turned her head to Bunzo Bunny with a playful growl and wrapped her arm around his neck before she noogied his head. "That's enough out of you," she said, which made him laugh.
Miss Delight looked at the duo with amused eyes. "How adorable..." she said while the Mini Huggies giggled.
CatNap and DogDay looked at the group with happy eyes, and PJ Pug-A-Pillar happily panted. When DogDay turned his head to the left, he spotted a gap in the distance. "There's a gap up ahead," he said.
When CatNap was close to the gap, he lay on the ground, which made the others get off him. "Once you're on the other side, CatNap and I will clear the debris," DogDay continued as he picked up PJ Pug-A-Pillar and placed him on the ground.
Michelle nodded as she approached the gap before carefully going through it. Once Michelle was on the other side, she spotted a large fence gate in the distance. "The coast is clear," she said.
After the smaller toys, along with PJ Pug-A-Pillar and Miss Delight, went through the gap, CatNap readied his claws before slashing at the stone, which broke it into smaller pieces. DogDay picked up part of the stone and tossed it to the side.
After the area was cleared, the duo walked through the larger gap. As the group went through the fence gate, Michelle looked around. "We can take a small break here," she said before approaching Miss Delight.
When Michelle was close to Miss Delight, she grabbed the backpack's zipper tab before unzipping it and digging her hand inside it. Michelle pulled a bag of mini cookies out of her backpack before looking at DogDay. "DogDay, catch," she said before tossing it.
DogDay quickly caught the bag of mini cookies. "Hand those out to the other toys; I'm gonna check the room on the side," Michelle said as she grabbed the zipper tab before zipping it.
DogDay nodded. "Very well..." he said as he opened the bag of mini cookies.
As Michelle approached the door, the smaller toys eagerly gathered around DogDay while PJ Pug-A-Pillar barked. "Alright, alright, one at a time," he continued as he knelt and poured some of the mini cookies into his hand.
Michelle placed her hand on the doorknob before twisting it. "This room might hide something important here..." she said in a low voice before opening it and looking around.
Soon after, Michelle spotted a TV with a purple VHS player under it. "There's a VHS tape here somewhere," she said.
When Michelle turned her head to the right, she spotted a purple VHS tape in an office chair. Michelle approached the office chair and picked up the tape. "What do you have?" she asked herself before approaching the TV.
After Michelle put the tape in the player, she looked at the TV as it booted up; soon after, she saw an instruction video for the orange hand, which made her hum a bit.
After the video finished, Michelle crossed her arms. "While I kinda figured out the obvious stuff, it's nice to have a little recap," she said before approaching the opening.
As Michelle left the room, the smaller toys were enjoying the mini cookies, which made her smile a bit. Miss Delight spotted Michelle before turning to her. "Anything useful?" she asked.
Michelle sighed a bit. "Only a tutorial video on the orange hand," she said.
DogDay approached Michelle. "Well, it's better than nothing..." he said before kneeling and holding the open bag of mini cookies out to her. "Here; surely you're hungry by now."
Michelle shook her head. "I'm fine, DogDay; don't worry about me," she said before grabbing the open bag of mini cookies and tying it up. "We can save these for another time."
DogDay looked at Michelle, concerned, as she approached her backpack and grabbed the zipper tab before unzipping it and placing the bag of mini cookies inside.
After Michelle zipped her backpack back up, she grabbed the right arm cannon's handle and twisted the knob, switching from the purple hand to the orange hand. "Now then..." she said before looking at the rope holding the large doors. "Let's see where this door takes us."
Michelle aimed the right arm cannon at the rope before pulling the trigger, shooting a flare from the orange hand and hitting the rope, which caused it to burn to ashes. As the large doors opened, Michelle's face went pale. "What the fuck..." she said in a low voice.
Michelle saw multiple toy corpse piles scattered around the area before looking away with her free hand covering her mouth. "What... is this place?" she asked.
CatNap stepped forward. "A GRAVEYARD FOR THE TOYS..." he said. "ONCE WE PASS THIS PLACE, THERE SHOULD BE A TRAIN THAT COULD TAKE US TO THE PRISON..."
DogDay approached the duo. "And, in turn, will take us to Safe Haven," he said.
Michelle took a deep breath and exhaled before pulling her hand away from her mouth and looking forward. "Then... let's go..." she said before walking forward, which made the group follow.
When Michelle turned right, she heard a toy laughing before they left, which made her jump a bit and look around while aiming the right arm cannon. "What was that?" she asked.
CatNap looked around with a slight growl. "NIGHTMARE CRITTERS..." he said in a low voice.
Michelle was surprised and turned her head to CatNap. "Nightmare Critters? I don't think I've heard of them before..." she said.
DogDay crossed his arms. "It's possible they weren't successful because of the damage to the company's reputation from the Smiling Critters..." he said before looking around with a slight glare. "Now they're just pawns that follow him..."
Michelle looked at DogDay, confused. "Him who?" she asked.
CatNap growled, and his ears pointed back. "THE DOCTOR..." he said.
Michelle looked down with a hum. "I see..." she said in a low voice.
When Michelle turned her head to the left, she spotted a note on top of a barrel, which made her approach it. When Michelle was close to the note, she picked it up and read it; the group approached her. "What did you find?" DogDay asked.
Michelle turned to DogDay. "It's part of a journal to a girl named Riley..." she said as she looked at the note. "The poor child... it was her first day at Playcare, and she was scared..."
When Michelle looked forward, she noticed a different note in the distance before placing the note in her hands on top of the barrel. "There's another one," she continued before sprinting toward it.
The group quickly followed Michelle as she picked up the note. "This one tells us about her being 'chosen'..." she said in a low voice before clenching it. "Oh, if she only knew what that meant..."
After Michelle dropped the note on the ground, the group walked forward. When the group was near a couple of lights, they saw a yellow Mini Huggy's arm come out of the corpse pile before collapsing. Michelle looked around the area with wary eyes. "I don't trust this pathway..." she said.
When Michelle stepped forward, a Nightmare Critter shaped like a bat wearing a collar with a blood pendant on it and a zipper in its center screeched before jumping down.
As the Nightmare Critter faced Michelle, she aimed the right arm cannon near it before shooting a flare at the ground, which scared it and made it jump toward a different corpse pile. "I'm guessing that was one of those Nightmare Critters," she said.
DogDay nodded. "If I recall, that certain one was called Rabie Baby," he said.
Michelle sighed a bit. "We should keep moving," she said, which made the group nod before they walked forward.
As the group traversed the area, they spotted a logo with a large red square, a medium blue square, and a small yellow square painted on the wall, with two large doors open and a large fence with a gate. "Is that... the prison's logo?" Michelle asked.
DogDay nodded. "We should be getting closer to the entrance," he said.
As the group reached the fence gate, the large lights suddenly turned on, which made them cover their eyes, and the alarms went off. "What the hell, I can't see!" Michelle shouted.
As Michelle tried to look forward, she saw the large doors close, which made her grit her teeth. "Well, that's just great..." she said.
When DogDay turned his head to the left, he spotted feral Mini Huggies and a few Nightmare Critters charging toward the group. "We've got enemies coming to our left!" he shouted.
Michelle turned to the left and aimed the right arm cannon at the feral group. "Protect the ones that can't fight!" she shouted before pulling the trigger.
A flare shot out of the orange hand and landed near a feral blue Mini Huggy, which startled it and made it run away. CatNap swatted the feral Mini Huggies away with his claws while DogDay kicked a few Nightmare Critters away.
PJ Pug-A-Pillar was chasing a Nightmare Critter shaped like a poison dart frog wearing a collar with a biohazard pendant and a zipper in its center, barking, which made it run away in panic.
A feral green Mini Huggy approached Miss Delight, who was standing in front of the Mini Huggies, with a devious grin, which scared the smaller toys.
Unbeknownst to the feral Mini Huggy, Bunzo Bunny slammed his cymbals against its head, which disoriented it before it collapsed on the ground.
Soon after, the feral Mini Huggies and Nightmare Critters started running away. Some of the group tried to catch their breath. "That takes care of that..." Michelle said in a low voice.
As Michelle looked around the area, she spotted a note near a truck before approaching it; when she was close to it, she picked it up before reading it.
Soon after, Michelle dropped the note before covering her mouth in horror. "This is when she was turned into a toy; how awful..." she said in a low voice.
DogDay spotted a note on a pallet before approaching it. When DogDay was close to the pallet, he picked up the note. "I found another note from Riley..." he said.
Michelle approached DogDay as he read the note. "What's it about?" she asked.
DogDay looked at the note with somber eyes. "This talks about her time during the Hour of Joy... she's one of the few who didn't participate," he said.
Michelle looked at the note with a frown. "Even after everything they did to her... the poor thing..." she said in a low voice.
After DogDay dropped the note, the group heard a light turn on, which made them look at the corpse pile nearby. "That's where the feral Mini Huggies and Nightmare Critters came from," Miss Delight said.
Michelle stared at the corpse pile and let go of the right arm cannon's handle before placing her hands together and closing her eyes. "Forgive me for what I'm about to do," she said.
After Michelle opened her eyes and pulled her hands away, she approached the corpse pile. "We have no choice but to climb on the corpses to get to the top," she continued, which made the group solemnly nod before they followed her and climbed.
