Asher was a Wargrave, a Noble. He was probably here because his family loved entering battlefields for the fun of it. Hence, he was never here for money and would never lack it.
So, whether they paid him a thousand platinum coins or not, none of them would care. The Tenth Sun probably had more money than they could ever make during their entire time within this Frontier.
