Maria stared, visibly disturbed. "So you're saying… you'd allow your husband to take other wives?"
Sofia didn't answer immediately. Instead, she turned her head slightly, her gaze shifting.. slowly, deliberately until it settled on Razeal.
"If he is capable enough," she said. "That is the only question." Her eyes lingered on him, assessing, weighing, as if measuring something far deeper than strength. "But is he?"
Razeal had remained silent throughout the exchange, his expression unreadable, crimson eyes calm, observant. He neither reacted nor flinched, simply allowing her gaze to rest on him without resistance.
