Cherreads

Chapter 81 - Chapter 81

Eldra was pleasantly surprised to find a small dresser across from her bed.

Inside were some simple clothes. Robes, ponchos, tunics and other things that the average Jedi might wear. Even a brown hooded cloak. In her condition however, most of the longer pieces of clothing would just get in the way.

She just found a simple gray tunic that barely reached past her nubs and the growling of her stomach stopped her from wasting time on anything else.

The cold, hard, metal floor was almost immaculately clean. At some point during their journey, C-3PO managed to sort through some of the boxes in the storage room and managed to find a few disassembled cleaning droids. As for what was left of the Spice, obviously Javra took that, along with several other boxes of illicit goods that were taking up space in the cargo hold. Then again, what's really 'illegal' in Nar Shaddaa?

The three small black cardboard boxes went around cleaning everything. They even climbed up on the walls and ceilings. Although it could be said that all Droids are effectively Sentient, there are definitely different levels of Sentience. Their sole purpose is to clean. They have no other programming, aside from maybe bickering with each other or telling jokes that only they would understand.

Anyway, the legless Twi'lek didn't use the Force. She was too weak and it was unnecessary. Just put her hands forward and crawled, while her gray tunic covered those nubs and made it easier to simply slide forward across the smooth ground. There was no shame or discomfort anymore. She only felt hungry and thirsty.

The tips of Eldra's Lekku touched the cold floor occasionally, which was a bit annoying. Unfortunately her headdress which usually gave them a little 'support' was missing. It felt like her head was naked. A little freeing, but also uncomfortable.

"There it is…" She ended up going left instead of right. Passing by the large metal engineering bay doors, she passed an empty passenger cabin, then the left-side airlock and entrance, finally the last cabin…

"It feels like…" Eldra was stunned for a moment. There was something Dark inside of there, but it wasn't as angry or filled with hate and fear as she expected. Rather, something else. Another negative emotion, something she was very familiar with… But there were also positive emotions as well: Love, hope, joy, the Light seemed to bring some semblance of balance. Of course, there was more than just one person inside.

"Maybe I was wrong?" Thinking back to Maul, she couldn't help smiling wryly. He did 'save' her to a certain extent. Instead of being enslaved or killed, he only cut her fucking legs off and left her to die. Not out of mercy or kindness, but simply because he was careless and underestimated her will to survive. Besides, unless a Jedi or Sith is completely unconscious or exhausted, how could they die from fall damage? The gravity on that moon wasn't even that high in the first place. She could have flown around if she wanted.

"Phew~! It's okay, everything is fine. As long as you're alive, there's hope for a better tomorrow. Just don't starve to death now."

Thus, she continued crawling into the open lounge. The slimy stains from Javra were cleaned up a long time ago and the stench was also gone. It was all very mundane. She had seen plenty of starships and light freighters. The YT-1300 was basically just a very standard interstellar, luxury fork truck. With guns.

"They're running out of supplies." The moment she opened the refrigerator, she could sense the desolate situation. The cabinets didn't have that many containers of food or water left either. She only hesitated for a moment before finding a stool and using it to lift herself up high enough to use the countertops in the kitchenette.

She was so hungry that she couldn't bother heating anything up, just eating some fruit, bread and lunch meat. It's not like she really 'starved' herself though. Even up towards the end, she was eating the bugs and other creatures that swarmed to her 'corpse'. It's just that she probably also caught some parasites or just wasn't getting enough variety in her diet. Malnutrition is just a much slower death.

"Chocolate… The Force is with me!"

Yes, chocolate did exist and it wasn't even rare in the Star Wars Universe. At least not until a war that might or might not even happen eventually.

"Mmmn~!" Eldra closed her bright blue eyes and savored the taste, while her perfect straight white teeth were being coated with brown. Eventually after coming down from the endorphins and the sugar rush, she felt a lot better than before. Finally able to calm her mind and think about her own future.

"If they're being hunted by pirates…"

Theoretically, it was impossible to transmit signals and send messages to Realspace while in Hyperspace. Realistically though, there were actually homing beacons and other tricks. It's also not impossible to calculate a ship's Hyperdrive route, especially if you know where they're going.

"If the pirates are using the Force… Hmmmm."

It's not unheard of for Force Users to become pirates or mercenaries. Even Jedi have worked with all sorts of scum and villainy in the past. If the Jedi knew about the return of the Sith, then perhaps they might hunt down her 'Master'. But it was also unlikely that they would rely on random pirates to accomplish the task.
