"Miss, are you thinking of something important and want to see Mr. Li?" Ah Qing asked.
"I just want to take a walk." Ling Yuezi didn't say much and stepped into the courtyard.
She didn't need to remember the Gate of Life and Death. She had walked this route for years, and wouldn't make a mistake even with her eyes closed.
Ling Yuezi walked all the way to the second floor, stopping in front of Li Xingsheng's bedroom.
The window of the room was dim.
The room was very quiet, with no sound at all.

Ling Yuezi thought for a moment and then reached out to push the door.
The door was locked from the inside and didn't budge.
She pulled out the golden hairpin from her hair and slowly pried open the latch.
Ling Yuezi gently pushed the door open and slowly walked into the room.
Ah Qing did not enter, standing guard at the door.
Outside, the moonlight was dim, and inside the room, without a light, it was even dimmer.
