Pedro Langley smiled, took a bottle of mineral water from the small fridge, loosened the cap, and handed it to Nora Scott to cool her down, "After all, my girlfriend would never be at a disadvantage."
Nora grabbed it, twisted off the cap, tilted her head back and gulped down a few big sips, calming her anger, but still said indignantly, "Why did you always fight for me before?"
Pedro sighed lightly, not knowing why he blurted out the truth, "Back when I hadn't won you over, I needed to make more of an effort."
"?"
Nora looked at him in shock.
"..."
Pedro sensed the tension, the temperature in the car dropped suddenly, and it felt a bit chilly.
Screwing the cap back on, Nora threw the bottle of mineral water behind her, coldly calling his name, "Pedro Langley."
"..."
Pedro turned around, gazing at her earnestly, silently advising her—not to act on impulse.
