Then Pei Shu'er stepped to the maid's side and slapped her across the face.
"Yinxing has been with me, and I've never allowed her to suffer even a bit of grievance; and you dare hit her?"
Yinxing quickly said, "Princess Consort, don't be angry on my behalf."
Pei Shu'er felt a warmth in her heart.
"My dear Xing'er, tell me, how many times did they hit you?"
Yinxing replied, "20 times."
Upon hearing this, Pei Shu'er pointed at these people.
"Now, you go hit her twenty times."
Chaoyang glared at her viciously: "Let's see who dares to hit my maid; hitting a dog requires considering the owner!"
Pei Shu'er sneered coldly: "Your maid may be your dog, but my Yinxing is my friend; Yinxing, hit her! I'll back you up."
Yinxing rushed at the maid, slapping her over and over.
Chaoyang rushed at Yinxing, but was ultimately blocked by Pei Shu'er.
