Chapter 70 - Douluo: Peerless Ice Throne [70]

Hearing this, Electrolux let out a soft chuckle. His aged voice carried a hint of regret as he spoke:

"You could say that. After my death, a fragment of my divine consciousness arrived in the Douluo Plane by chance. Later, I was drawn to this boy, Shu Yan, and so I remained within his Sea of Consciousness to recover my injuries. In doing so, I also lost the chance to leave…"

A spark of interest flashed through Bibi Dong's eyes. She looked at the gray currents gently coiling around Shu Yan's body and said with mild surprise,

"The Saint God of Necromancy… Is this the godhood you inherited? This power is indeed quite extraordinary."

Electrolux shook his head lightly and smiled.

"I am merely a human who never wished to become a god. Whether or not I ascended never held much meaning for me. The plane I came from is different from the Douluo Plane. As for the so-called Saint God of Necromancy, it is more a manifestation of my abilities than an actual godhood. Had I wished it, I could have become a true God of Death long ago."

"Heh… unwilling to become a god?"

Bibi Dong murmured softly, then laughed at herself.

"I gave up everything for the sake of godhood—Spirit Hall, my former subordinates, even my own daughter. And now that I think about it, what meaning did it truly have? Even I am beginning to lose my way."

"Enough. The past has already faded with the wind, and dwelling on it serves no purpose. What I really want to know is this—old man, how exactly do you intend to help me leave this place?"

She sat down gracefully once more, a breathtaking smile curving her lips. Though she was reluctant to admit it, Bibi Dong's appearance at the moment of ascension had truly been among the finest on the continent. And after shedding much of her former coldness and oppressive aura over the past ten thousand years, she now felt entirely different from before.

Electrolux remained calm and dignified. Meeting her gaze directly, he said evenly,

"It is quite simple. I possess a small world completely under my control—created long ago for the purpose of researching necromantic magic. While it cannot be considered a fully complete world, it is stable enough, and more than capable of accommodating your Rakshasa God position. You may enter it as well and recover there."

Bibi Dong suddenly raised her eyes, surprise evident.

"A small world you created yourself?"

Electrolux nodded.

"I call it the Undead Demi-Plane, or the Undead World. Most of the beings there are lifeless undead, and its life system is incomplete—but I believe it would suit you perfectly."

Bibi Dong fell silent for a moment, her breathing growing slightly heavier before she asked,

"Are you certain your world can withstand the power of the Rakshasa God position?"

Electrolux nodded once more.

"I am completely certain."

After taking a deep breath, Bibi Dong lightly tapped the armrest of her throne. The crisp sound echoed through the space. After a long while, she finally said,

"If things are truly as you say, then I am willing to try. But let it be clear—if anything goes wrong, I will take no responsibility."

Electrolux smiled faintly.

"I never speak empty words."

Bibi Dong snorted softly.

"Let us hope so."

"The Rakshasa God position has accompanied me since ten thousand years ago. As long as my soul does not enter the divine cycle of reincarnation, it will remain mine. However, due to the severe injuries I suffered back then, transferring the god position on my own would be… difficult."

Electrolux immediately understood her meaning.

"No matter. I will assist you."

Bibi Dong smiled lightly, rose to her feet, and waved her hand. The surrounding space instantly shifted. In the next moment, sacred yet deathly power erupted from Shu Yan's body—it was Electrolux's strength.

With the support of the Gold of Life, Electrolux's recovery had been astonishingly fast. Using such immense power now placed little burden on him. Even if there were some backlash, a period of slumber would suffice to recover. As for the dissipation of his divine consciousness—that was not a concern at all.

A spatial gateway quietly opened to the side, cold and eerie energy pouring forth. Peering through it, Bibi Dong narrowed her eyes slightly and said in surprise,

"You created this small world before becoming a god?"

Electrolux nodded, offering no denial.

"Let us act together and directly merge this space into the Undead World. Once complete, I will grant you partial authority over it. From that point on, you will be able to move freely within a certain range."

A flash of astonishment crossed Bibi Dong's expression.

Creating such a world before becoming a god—could she herself have done it?

The answer was obvious.

Absolutely not.

In fact, throughout the entire history of the Douluo Continent, there might never have been such a being. She had already sensed the unfathomable depth of this old man's soul, but now she realized she had still underestimated him.

Yet with matters having reached this point, she could only focus on resolving the present situation.

She had been trapped in the ruins of Jialing Pass for over ten thousand years. At her current rate of recovery, another ten thousand years might still lead nowhere.

And after all this time, who knew what level Tang San—who once held dual god positions—had reached in the God Realm? The thought filled her with a sense of powerlessness.

Fortunately, a glimmer of hope had finally appeared. Though the road ahead was uncertain, it was far better than remaining here, waiting for time to wither away in the land of her past defeat.

Two vast powers intertwined in midair, and the small space around them began to distort. Bibi Dong glanced at the Snow Empress and the others, waved her hand, and sent the three of them away.

In the next instant, the once-solid spatial barrier shattered violently. A blinding white light erupted outward. When the light faded, the small space had vanished completely—along with Electrolux, who had been controlling Shu Yan's body, and Bibi Dong herself.

The area was left empty, as though nothing had ever existed there.

Outside, the figures of the Snow Empress and the others appeared out of thin air before what had once been Bibi Dong's grave.

After a moment of silence, Xu Jiujiu gently tugged at the Snow Empress's hand and asked softly,

"Snow Sister… do you think Ah Yan and the others will be alright?"
