The group is led into the palace by a pair of royal attendants, polished boots clicking crisp against marble underfoot, and they've barely made it halfway to the dinner hall before an excited Sera intercepts them, darting out from a side corridor with her braid whipping behind her.
She grabs Pip's arm without hesitation. "You're late."
"Late for what?" Vuvi asks.
"Eris. She's been waiting."
Vuvi winces. "Sorry… had a bit of a sudden family situation."
"Tell me everything later, I want all the details," Sera says, already hauling Pip off by the wrist, "but right now I've got to go save the girls."
Vuvi's brow furrows, but the two of them vanish around the corner before she can get another word out, Pip's excited beeping echoing back down the hallway after them. She shakes her head. "I'll figure that one out after I've got food in my belly."
