The valley echoes with the thunder of boots, claws, and metal feet as the team bolts through the canyon at full speed.
Pip sprints ahead with Penelo slumped across his back, her eyes rolled back and her lips mumbling softly, her trance holding firm as her mind soars high above the rocky cliffs, merged with some kind of great winged avian beast.
"Left!" she mumbles, fingers twitching against Pip's shoulder plates. "Sharp turn! Veer right, then down the ravine!"
Sera skids past a ridge, boots kicking up a spray of loose gravel. Lula flutters ahead with her leathery wings slicing the air beside Zora, curls whipping behind her like a trail of fire. Vuvi leads the pack, grumbling and swatting a low branch out of her face.
"She better be right about this," Vuvi huffs, hopping over a jagged rock. "If I stub my toe one more time—"
