Aunt Mei escorted Huang Qi downstairs.
All the way to the living room door, Aunt Mei held onto Huang Qi, glanced upstairs, and then around her.
Seeing that Qiao Yuxian hadn't come out of the bedroom yet and there was no one else around, she whispered, "Doctor Huang, how is Madam's condition? Is it getting worse?"
"No," Huang Qi replied, "Why does everyone ask that?"
"You didn't look right just now," Aunt Mei said.
"Did I?" Huang Qi touched his own face.
He didn't feel anything else, just that he had lost weight. His facial features were becoming more defined.
Aunt Mei nodded, "Really, there's nothing wrong?"
"Nothing," Huang Qi answered with conviction.
"That's good, that's good," Aunt Mei patted her chest and said, "Really scared me. My heart was pounding."
"Don't worry, Aunt Mei," Huang Qi said.
"Alright," Aunt Mei agreed, "I won't keep you any longer."
Huang Qi nodded and left.
He walked steadily out of the East Courtyard. But just as he exited, he suddenly paused.
