Zhang Gaoqiu knelt on the ground, pleading with Zhang Chen.
Upon hearing this, Zhang Chen glanced at Zhang Gaoqiu, reached out his hand to stroke Zhang Gaoqiu's head, as if caressing a puppy: "You want me to spare you?"
Zhang Gaoqiu frantically nodded: "Brother, we are all blood brothers, what's a barrier that can't be crossed? As long as you spare me, I will definitely serve you loyally. In the future, I will follow you wherever you go; if you tell me to go east, I will never go west. Please, spare me?"
Upon hearing Zhang Gaoqiu's words, Zhang Chen patted his head: "I did consider sparing you for the sake of family, but when you were in power back then, you didn't think of sparing me, did you? Besides, your father, brothers, and sisters are all waiting for you underground. A family should be united together, you should go down and reunite with your family soon. How could I bear to let you endure the pain of separation?"
