"One might think we don't know each other well."
Yet the Preacher responded very seriously.
"No, we are well-acquainted. If we weren't, I wouldn't remember your name."
The man with the bulbous nose looked speechless.
After that, he stopped dwelling on it, nonchalantly plopped down on the ground, took a big swig of white liquor from the bottle, and then asked, "Do you think their path can be completed?"
"I don't know. The Human Race lacks gods, the Martial Path is limited. We are all striving to cross over; no one knows if their own path is the right one," the Preacher said aloud.
The man with the bulbous nose looked at him in astonishment, "Wow, I can't believe those words came out of your mouth. I thought you would say something like, 'What the nine masters said is all correct, their path is ultimately right,' or something like that."
He mimicked the Preacher's tone comically.
