"Miss Shaw is in her room."
Alaric Wood arrived at the door of Aurelia Shaw's room.
He knocked on the door, but no sound came from inside.
After knocking several times without any response, Alaric frowned.
"May I come in?"
Alaric pushed the door open and looked at Aurelia Shaw in the hanging chair, momentarily stunned.
"I thought you weren't in the room." Alaric exhaled.
Sunlight bathed Aurelia Shaw, her long, seaweed-like hair cascaded behind her, her demeanor was languid, her face devoid of makeup, and her naturally expressive eyes gazed at a distant place.
It gave a sense of tranquil times.
"Alaric?" Aurelia Shaw finally snapped back to reality.
"I knocked several times and didn't hear your reply, I feared something was wrong, so I came in, I'm sorry."
"There's no need to apologize." Aurelia smiled as her eyes curved, "You never need to say sorry to me."
Alaric was taken aback.
He had said the same words to her many times.
But it seemed she never listened.
