As usual, as soon as Lawrence Winters sent his message, Edward Foster called.
Urgently, he asked, "Lawrence, how did your arm get injured? Is it serious?"
Lawrence smiled and shook her head, "How should I say this? If I say it's not serious, then I'm purposely being negligent. The truth is, it's really severe; someone slashed me, and the wound is deep enough to see the bone."
Edward almost jumped out of his seat, "What?! How did you get slashed?! You must be joking! Lawrence, I'd rather you be negligent!"
Lawrence was feeling heartbroken. Seeing Edward so concerned, she opened a video call, "Look, I'm not lying to you."
Edward watched the video, seeing Lawrence's arm hanging on her neck, his heart clenched.
He hurriedly said, "Okay, I agree to your leave; one week isn't enough, take two." After saying that, he hung up.
