"Hm." Lor nodded, "Let's go find Francis first..."
As he spoke, he released the Void Realm, intending to encompass Cody within.
Who would have thought that Cody, upon seeing the Void Realm slowly approaching him, would actually step back.
Lor: "?"
What's with this guy?
He was just so impatient, and now he's not in a hurry?
"Ah, sorry, it's a reflex." Before Lor could voice his confusion, Cody sighed and, as if resigned to his fate, stopped his backward motion.
He vividly remembered the time when Francis had pinned him down in the Life Domain and beat him up, which made him somewhat apprehensive when he saw Lor's Defense Barrier.
He knew he had provoked Lor far more times than he had Francis in the past.
Thus, if Lor made the same choice as Francis, he wouldn't be surprised at all.
But on further thought, he realized he probably couldn't avoid this encounter; in terms of commitment to the experimental results, he was no less than Lor.
