Lu Yang has said that he doesn't want to be used as a stepping stone by anyone.

Lu Yang tagged that Real Madrid senior executive and posted: "I never refuse being a substitute, whether it's due to capabilities or scheduling issues."
"But unfortunately, ever since my first official match in professional football, I've never been benched due to capability issues."
"Substitute players are magnificent; they are indispensable contributors to the team's victory. But at that time, I realized that having me on the bench was a huge loss for the team, and I will never allow that waste to happen."
"So, if I join Real Madrid, I will definitely be a starter. Otherwise, Real Madrid fans won't agree to it."
