Urahara's pupils contracted. His expression shifted as he stared intently at Lin Xuan.
After a long moment, he exhaled and smiled. "I see."
He didn't pursue the topic further.
"Aren't you curious?" Lin Xuan asked.
Urahara smiled. "Of course I'm curious. But some things are better not known—knowing them only brings more trouble."
Lin Xuan looked at him with surprise.
He hadn't expected Urahara to have that kind of wisdom.
Most people, hearing a secret, can't resist digging deeper.
But Urahara could restrain his curiosity and avoid bringing trouble on himself.
"You're an interesting person. But there's nothing I can't tell you."
Lin Xuan didn't hide anything. He explained that he'd crossed over from another world—and briefly described the Cross-Dimensional Guild.
He told Urahara because there was no need to conceal it.
If the guild was going to take root in this world, people would find out eventually anyway.
More importantly, telling Urahara was part of winning him over.
Urahara was talent. Strong in combat, yes—but at heart, like Orochimaru, he was a scientific madman who loved strange experiments.
He'd invented all sorts of interesting Shinigami tools—and even the Hōgyoku.
Lin Xuan valued him highly.
Keeping Urahara stuck in the living world was a waste. If he could be recruited into the Cross-Dimensional Guild's research division, that would be excellent.
Lin Xuan was already looking forward to what sparks might fly between Urahara, Orochimaru, and Vegapunk—scientists from different worlds.
But that would take time.
Telling him about other worlds was just the beginning. He'd win Urahara over eventually.
After hearing Lin Xuan's words, Urahara's eyes lit up.
For some reason, what this man said sounded absurd—even ridiculous. Reason told him it was all false.
But he chose to believe anyway.
Urahara was clever. He thought further ahead than most.
He wouldn't swallow everything Lin Xuan said—but he believed enough.
At minimum, he was starting to accept that other worlds existed—the Naruto world, the One Piece world, the Dragon Ball world might all be real.
That was also why they'd never detected Lin Xuan before.
Urahara's inner calm was shattered.
Their conversation lasted a long time.
Besides other worlds, they discussed the Hōgyoku, Aizen, and more.
When they talked about Aizen, Urahara grew increasingly shocked.
Lin Xuan knew far more than he'd imagined—almost as if he knew everything.
Urahara's impression of Lin Xuan had changed completely.
Before, he'd seen Lin Xuan as a mysterious powerhouse of unknown origin and unknown limits.
Now Lin Xuan seemed even more enigmatic—because he'd answered so many of Urahara's questions. Urahara found himself respecting him more and more.
By then, Isshin and Ichigo had finished their talk and walked over.
Isshin stood before Lin Xuan. "I know what you're planning. I agree to let you take my son to the Soul Society.
The kid needs real experience. I have one condition—bring him back."
Lin Xuan nodded. "Don't worry. He's a member of the Cross-Dimensional Guild now.
I won't let anything happen to him."
Urahara was about to help open a gate to the Soul Society—but preparing the channel took time. Lin Xuan found that tedious. With a wave of his hand, he tore open a spatial rift.
Urahara and Isshin both jumped. From the rift, they could feel the Soul Society's presence.
They'd underestimated Lin Xuan again. He could open a gate to the Soul Society with a casual gesture.
Lin Xuan ignored their shock. He grabbed Ichigo and stepped into the rift.
Before leaving, Urahara called out to him.
"Guild Master Lin—be careful. The Soul Society isn't as simple as you think. Somewhere in there hides an extremely powerful figure."
He sighed. "Your soul is special. You might attract their attention."
"You mean the Soul King?" Lin Xuan said calmly, without a trace of tension.
Surprise flashed across Urahara's face. Then he smiled bitterly. "You really do know everything.
Since you know what the Soul King is, I won't warn you further."
"Good luck."
Finally, Lin Xuan and Ichigo vanished into the rift—and soon appeared in the Soul Society.
