He turned to Hashirama and Madara beside him. "I need to head back. I'll leave things here to you for now."
The two immediately understood. They'd also seen the message in the chat.
Hashirama asked, "Do you need us to come with you?"
Madara, however, frowned slightly. "What if it's a trap? What if the World Government is trying to lure you out?"
Lin Xuan paused at that, his mind flashing to the mysterious figure known as Im — the one pulling strings behind the World Government.
If this was that person's doing, then it wouldn't be surprising at all.
Still, Lin Xuan's expression didn't change. "If it is a trap," he said coldly, "then I'll just wipe them out while I'm at it."
He rose to his feet, ready to depart.
But he didn't go alone — he took Kaguya Ōtsutsuki with him.
Clearly, if he needed help from Hashirama and Madara later, he could simply summon them through Reanimation again.
To the audience, his disappearance went unnoticed. Only Master Roshi, who had been paying close attention to him, and Kami, who was watching through the body of one of the contestants, sensed something strange.
Still, Roshi didn't question it publicly. He simply sent a message through the group chat, to which Lin Xuan replied: "I'm stepping out to handle something. I'll be back soon."
As for Kami, though deeply suspicious, he had no choice but to stay focused. The current priority was to deal with Piccolo first — then he could investigate these mysterious visitors.
Meanwhile, Lin Xuan and Kaguya had already found a secluded spot. With a thought, he opened a portal between worlds and stepped through, returning to the One Piece world.
Kaguya looked at him curiously. "Why so discreet this time?" she asked.
She was referring to how he hadn't opened the portal in public. From what she'd seen of him, Lin Xuan seemed to enjoy making grand entrances — the flashier, the better.
Activating a portal between worlds was the perfect chance to show off, yet he'd done it quietly this time.
Lin Xuan smirked. "You might've misunderstood me. I'm actually a very low-profile person."
Kaguya shot him a look that clearly said, Yeah, right.
Lin Xuan sighed. "Fine, maybe I was a bit... theatrical before. But I had no choice."
Inwardly, he added, If it weren't for that damn system making me earn reputation points to buy everything from its store, I'd never have gone down this road of scheming and showing off just to shock the world.
The system remained silent.
The truth was, Lin Xuan wasn't being "low-profile" at all.
He simply realized that, with the World Martial Arts Tournament still being broadcast on Earth, he was already earning plenty of fame from those spectators. There was no need to waste an impressive entrance here — better to save it for later when their "cooldown period" was over and they could generate fame points for him again.
