Dr. Lewis adjusted his glasses as he stared at the monitor displaying the last transmission from D-1021. The chamber's ominous, shifting monoliths flickered on the screen, cast in the faint glow of the control room lights.

Dr. Lewis:"This is going to get messy. We're sending in D-1021 again?"

Dr. Walston:"He volunteered. Said he wanted to see what's inside. But I don't like how it's already messing with him."

Kennith leaned over, eyeing the footage. The recording showed D-1021 walking into SCP-057's chamber, the door sealing behind him with a dull thud. The monoliths shifted, almost alive.

D-1021 (on tape):"Hey, you didn't tell me the door would close. Can you open it again? This place gives me the heebie-jeebies."

Dr. Lewis:"Nope. Proceed as instructed."

The camera footage zoomed in on D-1021 as he hesitated, then moved cautiously among the shifting stone columns.

D-1021:"There are a bunch of stone columns here, and they keep rearranging... I…"

Dr. Walston:"Stay calm. Keep moving, and you'll find the way out."

Suddenly, the columns behind him closed in, the sounds of grinding stone echoing as the monoliths moved. D-1021's voice grew frantic.

D-1021:"They're closing up behind me! I can't see the door anymore! I'm trapped! You bastards, I'm gonna die in here!"

Dr. Lewis:"D-1021, stay focused! Keep moving with the columns. They're leading you somewhere—trust the process."

For a tense moment, there was silence. Then, D-1021's voice, trembling.

D-1021:"I saw how big this place is from the outside. Am I going in circles? This is bullshit. You set this up—this is some kind of trap."

Dr. Walston:"You're not trapped, I swear. Keep moving. The exit is close."

But the panic had taken hold. D-1021's voice cracked, tears audible even through the transmission.

D-1021:"There's no fucking exit! You lied! You set me up—I'm fucking trapped! I'm gonna die in here… I'm gonna die…"

His breathing became ragged. The sound of hyperventilation filled the line. The monitors flickered as the footage showed him trembling, then breaking down into tears.

Dr. Lewis:"D-1021, stay with us. Focus. Breathe. You're stronger than this."

But his voice on tape was only sobs now, muffled and broken.

D-1021:"I… I guess this is it. Maybe I should just close my eyes and wait for it to be over."

Minutes of silence followed. The room grew heavy with dread. Then, a faint cracking sound as the transmission abruptly cut out.

Dr. Walston:"D-1021? D-1021, do you read me? Respond!"

Silence.

Kennith stared at the dark screen, feeling a chill run down his spine. He already knew the outcome, yet he refused to accept it.

Dr. Lewis:"He's gone. Just like that. No remains, no sign of the worker from the excavation. It's like he disappeared."

Walston:"What do we do? Do we keep risking more lives for this thing?"

Kennith paused, considering. "No. I think it's time we reclassify SCP-057. If it can claim lives without leaving a trace, it's more dangerous than we thought. It's not just safe anymore."

As the team fell into heavy silence, the chamber's shifting monoliths flickered faintly on the control room monitor—an ominous reminder of the unknown depths inside SCP-057.
