[Item Distribution Order 4:]
[…]
Master was distributing supplies to the First Advanced Scouts.
Sigyn would usually do this before they would deploy a party into a trial, which was another deployment indication we discovered.
Considering the recipient of the distribution order, it only meant one thing.
"Master is about to scout the twentieth floor again. Very soon."
I spoke out loud.
The fairy stared at the orders with an annoyed expression.
[If Master only plans to scout the mission, do they have to give out those precious equipment as well?]
Indeed.
Master was also giving out high-grade items to the scouts.
Some of the weapons and armors listed here were brand-new equipment made by the crafters.
Forged by our finest and precious materials, these were currently our best series of equipment ever produced in the lobby.
We even had to use rare elemental stones and other rare resources to create them.
To think that Master would be willing to give those equipment to a raid squad that might perish in the Quintal Trial, which would cause the equipment to be lost as well…
"Master is treating the upcoming scouting seriously. They would try the fourth Quintal Trial as if the Main Forces were attempting it."
The fairy squirmed regretfully upon my words.
[But those precious gears… Those potions…]
I turned my gaze to the window which overlooked the entire third floor, including all the training grounds in it.
Through the window I looked over to the dueling chambers where the Reserve Forces were currently training in.
The fierce shouts, clanging of weapons, and explosions of spells echoed all the way to my office.
I listened to the sound of the raiders.
Sensing their determination to survive…
"Alam, I need your help."
The fairy quickly straightened back from her squirming.
[Yeah, what is it?]
I proceeded to point to the system log where Master's orders were written.
"I need to see what Master sees."
The fairy immediately frowned.
[What do you mean?]
"Whenever Master deployed the scouting party, they're able to view the mission unfolding, weren't they? I want to know what they saw in the Quintal Trial."
The fairy shook her head upon my request.
[No way. I can't help you with that. It's not possible for a mere 4-star hero like you to observe a live mission like a master.]
I thought as much.
But I did not intend to accept that answer.
"Then allow me to see the system logs. There should be messages notifying Master of the occurrences in the missions. Give me access to those records."
In the previous Quintal Trials, there were notification windows mentioning our supply request, enemy's arrivals, or certain events.
But most importantly, like in all trials, there would be mission windows stating our objective.
It would really help us to know all of those information in advance.
We could deduct how the mission would unfold and enable us to plan and prepare accordingly.
"Well? How about it, Alam? Can you help me with that?"
The fairy maintained her frown as she rubbed her tiny chin.
[That is a peculiar request. An absurd one, at that. And what exactly makes you think I'll just do what you asked?]
"You want us to reach the top of the tower, don't you? Or do you just want to see us suffer?"
[N-No! I do want you guys to reach the top! It will only do me good if you manage to climb higher in the tower.]
"There you go. If you help me with this, it will greatly improve our chances of reaching the top of the tower."
The fairy's frown curved deeper.
She was definitely troubled by my request.
The winged-creature began to mumble to herself.
[I never expected a hero would ask this kind of thing. But if we used Intervention Point—]
The fairy suddenly slapped her mouth shut.
She clearly regretted mentioning something at the end of her sentence.
I did not let the term slip away.
"Intervention Point? What's that?"
The fairy formed cold sweats on her temple.
She seemed to have broken some strict rule of the forged land.
But I wanted her to tell me anyway.
"My request is possible if we use this Intervention Point, isn't it? Tell me, Alam. I need to know."
[Hmm… I'm not sure if I should tell you about it.]
She hesitated again.
"What's the matter? Will you be in danger if you disclose this secret? Will it endanger all of us in the lobby?"
[N-no, not exactly. It's more like the nature of the information isn't something to be shared to the likes of you, heroes.]
There she was talking cryptic again.
The forged land harbored many inexplicable things.
This Intervention Point had to be one of them.
[Gahh! Fine! I will help you!]
Alam finally blurted out.
I immediately rose from my chair and went to her.
"Will you really grant my request?"
[I'm still not going to tell you what the Intervention Point really is, but I will use it to help you.]
The fairy said.
"Will I be able to see all the system logs in the mission?"
Alam shook her head.
[No. Not all of them. But you'll be able to see more than you're able to so far.]
"Can I see the mission window for the twentieth floor?"
The fairy immediately shook her head again.
[That is one of the most classified information. Even with Intervention Point you won't be able to see it unless you're in the mission directly.]
Damn.
That was actually the one thing I wanted to know the most.
[Honestly, I'm still not sure how much you'll be able to see with the Intervention Point. I've never done this before. So we'll have to experiment first and…]
The fairy began to explain to me what she needed to do so she could help me.
It did not seem she would be able to grant me many of the things I wanted.
But she was willing to help.
We would need all of the aid we could get.
The twentieth floor was upon us.
