Joseph happened to walk by and paused.
Joseph:

Amber didn't look away.

"Oh, hi Steve." đ

Joseph:

Amber's expression didn't change.
Amber:

Before he could finish, an actual Steve walked behind him.

She pointed like a general preparing troops.

Soon the three of themâJoseph, Steve, and now Meganâstood in a perfect straight line like soldiers.
Megan:

Steve pointed at Amber.
Steve:

Megan looked at Amber's face.
Amber was tense. Irritated.
Focused like a predator stalking prey.
Megan instantly understood.
Megan:

Amber clapped once.
Amber:
"Good. Now listen. We are doing this EXACTLY as I say." đ
Joseph whispered:

"Uh⊠sis⊠this plan feels kinda old fashionedâ"
Amber shot him a death glare.
Amber:
"Joseph.

Joseph immediately zipped his mouth.
The three stood ready.
Amber exhaled deeplyâŠ
eyes locked on Jonathan down the hallwayâŠ
and whispered:
Amber:
