Initially, Galactus wanted to eliminate this cosmic tapeworm that was stealing his food, but he later discovered that after absorbing vast amounts of energy, it gradually grew. Galactus had a momentary soft spot and removed this cosmic tapeworm from inside himself. He then raised it, and it became the present-day Galacta.
After hearing Galacta's introduction of her father Galactus, all the group members were shocked.

Nearly every day, the planet faced about five potential extinction-level events, and humanity teetered on the brink of annihilation roughly twenty-five times. Each crisis was quietly averted under her watchful protection.
For instance, when the Skrulls were accepted on Earth, humans overlooked the cosmic pathogens these alien visitors carried. Such viruses were harmless to their original hosts but proved devastatingly fatal to humans. This often resulted in hospitals being filled with patients suffering from illnesses utterly beyond human medical science.
Galacta would frequently appear at these hospitals, cleansing the afflicted of the cosmic viruses and converting the pathogens into sustenance for herself.
In the middle of her chat with the group, Galacta suddenly sensed something.
She quickly sent a message, and in an instant, her attire shifted into a sleek, purple high-tech suit. She jokingly referred to this as her "formal dining wear."
Hearing that Galacta was about to "eat," the other members grew curious about her food and asked her to start a live stream. Without overthinking it, Galacta promptly obliged.
As the members entered the stream, they were greeted by the sight of Galacta submerged in what appeared to be a sea of molten lava.
