Chapter 313 - Looking For An Answer End

T/N: Sorry for the lack of updates yesterday. Mondays have classes from 6 am-8 pm. I normally get in the chapters in between breaks, but I was busy and really tired when I returned home. Thank you.

....

Arsenal's fighting spirit was still rock-solid; public opinion hadn't shaken them one bit.

Sanchez's goal had lightened the previously dull atmosphere on the pitch. Slowly, more Arsenal fans were starting to relax and enjoy the match.

Yet, some remained unsettled. For them, if Kai's situation wasn't officially resolved—if there wasn't a clear answer—they couldn't even eat, let alone focus on the game.

From the dugout, Arsène Wenger clapped, observing the shifts on the field. There was no denying it: Kai's influence at Arsenal was enormous.

Since 2011, in just three seasons, Kai had won over every discerning fan. When Wenger announced him as captain, there was no opposition—everyone instinctively knew it was the right choice.

. . .

"Hey! I'm taking off this undershirt!" Kai shouted to his teammates, pointing at the layer beneath his jersey.

His teammates laughed, knowing exactly what he meant—he was itching to score.

Cazorla grinned and patted his chest. "Don't worry, Capitán! Next one's yours!"

"I'll pull wide and give you space, Captain!" another teammate added.

"Leave the defenders to me; I'll make room for you!"

Kai gave pats on the back. "You guys are amazing!"

The camaraderie sparked laughter all around. The atmosphere on the pitch was alive and buzzing. Arsenal restarted play, full of energy.

Kai stayed advanced, while Kanté covered behind him perfectly. Wenger had trained Kanté for situations like this—allowing Kai to push forward without worrying about defensive gaps. The formation shifted upward, Arsenal pressing close to Leicester's penalty area.

Cazorla, Di Maria, and Sanchez were probing relentlessly for openings. Kai, meanwhile, hovered outside the box, organizing the attack and keeping an eye on the goalkeeper.

Kai had a lethal long-range shot, but the defense was tight, and the keeper was well-positioned. Still, the situation was dynamic. Di Maria's movements on the wing pulled Leicester's defenders and even the keeper slightly to the right.

Kai noticed and quickly moved closer.

"Angel! Here!" Kai called.

Kai gestured urgently. Almost instantly, Di Maria rolled the ball to him. Kai didn't stop it outright; he let it slow, dragged it behind him, and created space away from Liam Moore.

Turning sharply, Kai dribbled forward, keeping the keeper in view. Schmeichel hinted at moving left but hadn't committed yet.

Kai accelerated, widening the gap with Moore. His left foot struck cleanly—a fierce shot arcing toward the far post.

Alan Parry's voice crackled over the commentary: "Kai!! Long shot!!"

Emirates Stadium fell silent for a heartbeat. The ball curved beautifully, slipping into the corner—a completely impossible angle.

Schmeichel, frozen, could only watch helplessly.

"Goal!! Kai!!" Smith shouted, and the stadium erupted.

Eight minutes after the last goal, Arsenal scored again—and it was their captain!

Fans watched as Kai ran to the corner flag, ripping off his jersey to reveal the undershirt beneath. Across it, a simple message:

'Answer: Staying!'

A short line, but it struck like a cool wind across the stands. Arsenal supporters shivered, all doubts evaporating. Amidst a transfer saga that could have rocked the football world, Kai had made his choice—he was staying.

Faces in the stands flushed with relief and joy. Confusion and worry were gone. Kai had answered. He was Arsenal's number 4, their captain, and that was enough.

Boom!

A wave of cheers swept the stadium, all four stands shaking as fans leapt to their feet. Misunderstandings cleared, emotions unleashed.

"Kai!!"

"Kai!!"

"Kai!!"

The chants rolled spontaneously, echoing across the Emirates. Arsenal fans were united, and now it was time to enjoy the beautiful game.

"Kai!! Kai!! Kai!!!" Billy shouted, his voice cracking with excitement. "What did I tell you? He's not leaving! Hahaha! He's staying at Arsenal! He's not like the others! He's Kai!!"

The fans around him were still caught up in the general celebration, barely noticing, but Billy didn't care. For him, the moment was pure euphoria.

Even more thrilling than the goal itself was Kai's response. At that instant, Arsenal supporters could finally breathe easy. Kai had promised to stay. That simple answer was enough.

On the pitch, Kai threw his arms wide and laughed, loud and unrestrained. "Now this… this feels like home! Make more noise!"

Almost immediately, his teammates swarmed him, tackling him to the ground in a joyous pile.

Cazorla grinned.

"I was thinking of helping you out, but you didn't need me!"

"That long-range strike… just fantastic!"

Kai laughed with them, soaking in the camaraderie.

Across the field, Leicester City's players stood with hands on their hips, watching Arsenal's celebration unfold with a mixture of helplessness and awe. Newly promoted, they'd expected a challenge, but being overpowered like this was a first.

Still, they weren't defeated.

"The gap… it's exactly what I expected," one of the younger players muttered, eyes still bright with determination. "But the question is how to close it."

Each Leicester player, young and hungry, glimmered with ambition. They weren't content to simply accept the hierarchy—they wanted to rewrite it.

"See? I told you! Kai won't leave Arsenal! He's our captain, loyal through and through. Not like the others," another fan shouted, voice shaking with excitement.

"Football isn't just about cash. Look at Liverpool's Gerrard—he became a legend in his city. Kai is doing the same in North London. He's building his own story!"

The stadium roared, chants of "Kai! Kai! Kai!" bouncing across every stand, the celebration swelling into a wave that no one could contain. Arsenal had their answer—and it had ignited the hearts of everyone who loved the club.
