๐ Overview โ What Is the Story World?
The Story World is not merely a collection of Fragments, Players, and fantastical places. It is a living structure, bound together by a universal force known as the Story System.
At its core, the Story World functions much like an interconnected network of realities โ a vast, rule-bound weave where every being must possess a Story in order to exist meaningfully within it.
Through verified testimony provided by Readers from the Reader World, the Blue Trade has confirmed a crucial comparison:
๐๏ธ The All Seeing Eye functions as its governing AI.
The All Seeing Eye oversees every Story, assigns Ranks, enforces rules, and maintains narrative stability. When abnormalities appear, it deploys its agents โ known as Editors โ to correct the problem.
To exist without a Story is not rebellion.
It is an error.
And errors are erased.
๐ What Is the Story System?
At its simplest: the Story System is how individuals in this world exist, grow, and interact with power.
It is the System through which stories are told โ and made.
Everyone has access to the System. But not everyone is a true Story Owner.
โ๏ธ Story Ownership Types:
๐ฉ Original Stories:
The rarest and most powerful form.
Created by the user from scratch โ through unique events, achievements, and experiences.
Grants access to personalized, evolving abilities.
Peak potential in every sense.
๐จ Inherited Stories:
Transferred upon death (or, rarely, granted during life).
Fully becomes the new owner's Story.
Maintains most of its former strength but begins a new arc under a new user.
๐ฆ Sponsored Stories:
Provided by powerful Story Owners.
Allows the user to borrow a weakened version of someone else's Story.
Stronger than Borrowed, but less adaptable.
๐ช Borrowed Stories:
Weakest tier.
Used by civilians, beginners, and those unwilling to risk deeper paths.
Highly limited in potential, flexibility, and personalization.
๐งญ Ranks & Power Scaling:
A Story's Rank determines how powerful its user is โ both in influence and combat. This applies to both individuals and Fragments.
๐ Rank Scale:
F โ E โ D โ C โ B โ A โ S โ SS โ SSS โ X โ Z
Z Rank is considered the absolute peak of known power.
There are currently around 125 confirmed Z Rankers in the Story World.
โ๏ธ Notable Example:
The [Beast King] is a Z Ranker who restricted his life to a single true death. By doing so, he achieved unparalleled singularity of strength, focusing all narrative weight into one unrepeatable existence.
This is a known example of restriction mastery.
๐งฉ Fragments โ Worlds Within the World:
Fragments are worlds within the Story World, each with their own laws, histories, and dominant Stories.
Fragments also have Ranks.
๐ Highest Known Fragment: ๐น [Roses Universe] โ Z Rank Fragment. The only known Z Ranked Fragment in the Story World.
Ruled by the [Gold Emperor], one of the Council of Eight.
๐ Cores โ The Lifeblood of the Story World:
Cores are crystallized essence produced by a Story. They are:
Currency.
Energy source.
Activation fuel for Abilities.
Ranking metric.
Both Story Owners and Fragments produce Cores โ making some Fragments literal economic engines.
Each Rank produces a special type of Cores. For example, an F Ranked Story typically produces Green Cores.
A base user may generate ~2 cores/day.
Popularity and resonance can increase output.
๐ Example:
If a Story is heard, followed, or believed in โ its Core production rises.
A player with a rate of 8 Green Cores per day may spike to 10 when their Story resonates with others.
Stories that inspireโฆ pay better.
๐ Restrictions & Narrative Pathing:
Restrictions can strengthen a Story by narrowing its focus:
Example: A Story restricted to fire abilities becomes hyper-efficient at fire usage.
Some restrict their death count โ often to a single real death.
Most powerful Story Owners have mastered their restrictions to draw out unique advantages.
๐ ๏ธ Editors โ The Hands of the Eye:
Editors are special agents dispatched by the All Seeing Eye.
Their roles include:
๐งฉ Repairing broken narratives.
โ๏ธ Retconning dangerous outcomes.
๐๏ธ Erasing corrupted Stories.
๐ Enforcing System law.
Their arrival is often described as:
๐ฅ๏ธ "A bug fix in reality."
When an Editor appears, something has gone wrong.
And someone is about to disappear.
"Every story begins with a sentence โ but it ends only if the Eye permits."
