Chapter 31 - Captured-2

The prison wall reflected back Jinwoo's inexpressive look. He got up from his chair and touched the wall. Then— slid his hand across it.

"A smooth surface with tiny gaps. The blocks are quite large too, though i can't tell if they are thick or not." He tapped the wall with the back of his palm.

For a moment, he stayed silent before a smug smile crept on his face. He stepped back a little and crouched slightly.

As he positioned himself to a comfortable distance, he pulled back his fist and shot it at the wall.

A heavy, loud sound rang out at the impact, everything started shaking for a moment but not for much time. As it calmed down to almost nothing in the next second.

As Jinwoo removed his fist from the wall, he chuckled.

"Seriously. Not even a scratch.."

The wall was still the same as before, smooth, strong and unnecessarily shiny.

Just then, the wall shook again. Jinwoo shot out another punch at the wall. With another tremor gradually residing, the wall was left unscratched.

Jinwoo frowned, then sat back on his bed.

---

"Nice to meet you. My name is Jang Hyun-soo. I am currently in prison.

Please don't mistake me. This black and white dress of a criminal that I have currently put on does not shine my righteousness. However, I am not a bad person either." Hyunsoo laid straight on his bed, he was not angry, not a single bit.

He was disappointed, sad, unhappy, regretful, and maybe a little furious. These emotions rang inside Hyunsoo's head one at a time while he stared at the unnecessarily shiny ceiling.

"Why am I in prison, you ask?" He let out a dry chuckle while reminiscing of his prime days, as if they weren't just a few days ago.

"I have a very bad frie- boss. He seriously does not think what to do before doing it. Recently, i was captured while helping him.

I think.. i know where he currently is. He is locked in a prison cell. Probably the same looking as mine.

He must be ang-" A blast echoed from the wall to his left. Hyunsoo closed his eyes on the impact. He opened it in sync to the gradually fading reverb.

"Seventeen. This was the seventeenth one." He called out the actions of the stupid beast living next door to him.

For a while no blast occured. Hyunsoo glanced at the wall, then sat up on his bed.

He only sat for a moment before the metal door opened. A man wearing a dark green military suit entered the room, along with a woman wearing the same outfit.

Seokjin and Harin.

Seokjin moved fast, conquering he chair before Harin could sit. She sighed, letting out her little frustration.

"Hello!" Hyun-soo happily greeted.

"Hello, Hyunsoo" Seokjin greeted back. Harin didn't.

"So? What's the occasion?" Hyunsoo sat on his own chair and joined his hands together. His smile still plastered over his face.

"It's about your friend. Jinwoo."

"He's not my friend." Hyunsoo's smiled vanished.

Seokjin paused, thought for a few seconds, glanced at Harin, then spoke back to Hyunsoo.

"Well, i am not particularly a fan of gay people. But it's totally fine if you want to co-"

"Please. He's my boss." Hyunsoo frowned. He held himself back from punching the bars at the moment. However, that wouldn't have done any benefit to him.

"Ahem, Sorry. My mind has been unstable after listening to Minsoo's rant."

"So he's gay?" Hyunsoo questioned, clearly not understanding what this has to do with that brute.

"No."

"I see. What's your favourite animal?"

"Red pand-"

Harin slapped the back of Seokjin's head. Her hazel eyes looking down on him with anger. "Ask him already."

Seokjin rubbed his head, chuckling in the process. "Haha. Sorry."

Then—he turned towards Hyunsoo. His face straightened, his tone colder.

"Why would you do that? Like this Hunting Hunter thing."

"Money." Hyunsoo immediately replied.

Seokjin nodded. "Cool. Well, since you don't actually have a good reason. It will be hard for you in court.

..Oh yeah.! Your parents will be visiting soon. I hope you behave."

"They are my parents not your's"

Seokjin sighed and left along with Harin.

---

The long metalic corridor echoed the steps of the boots of two people.

"Since we have given Hyunsoo's report. Let's visit Jinwoo now." Seokjin took a sip from the packed orange juice and glanced at Harin.

For a moment, she didn't answer. Just walked until they reached his room. The metal door right in front of them.

"Sorry. But.. could I go alone, please?" After a lot of hesitation, she spoke, grabbing the door handle tighter. Her bang's almost covering her face.

Seokjin had already seen this coming. He knew she would want to talk alone with him. The expressionless hunter was bound to show many emotions, just not in front of anyone.

"Actually, I had other plans too. I would be thankful if you could make the report." Seokjin replied, sipping the last drop out of the juice box.

Without waiting for her reply, he turned around and walked off.

Harin stood there, still grabbing the handle, watching him disappear in the long, dark corridor.

Without further waste of time, she entered the room.

Her stoic face still remained the same, however her heart was beating faster. Not out of sadness, but out of anger.

Her brother, Jinwoo Park, now a criminal, and a prisoner in the awakened prison, sat on his own chair. As if he was waiting for her.

She didn't say a word. She closed the door behind her and slowly took her seat, putting the papers on the metal platform.

The silence streched long. They both sat with thier stoic faces staring at each other.

It was a simple yet nerve-wrecking experience. Seeing a family member in prison would often call for sorrow or anxiety. Here, however. Not a single drop of sadness could be seen.

"Jinwoo Park." She grabbed one the documents, "Let's start your report."
