The battle in the sky raged for five long minutes—five minutes that felt like eternity.
Above the Qaida capital, clouds stretching across millions of kilometers were ripped apart by the violent shockwaves. The heavens themselves seemed to cry out as divine power collided, turning the sky into a storm of light and fury.
By now, the entire capital had been evacuated. Streets that once bustled with life now lay silent. Buildings stood empty, abandoned in panic.
Only Queen Qaida wanted to stay. But her centurion guards flatly refused.
If it were a war for survival—a last stand—they would have fought and died beside their queen without hesitation. Every monarch of Qaida before her had met fate that way.
But this was no war between mortals.
This was a clash between gods.
What business did mortals have standing beneath such fury? Even the bravest soldier would be turned to dust by the aftermath alone. Staying here was not courage—it was suicide.
And besides, even Thanos's elite generals, the Black Order, had already retreated to their sanctum at Holy Place No. 2.
When Thanos's own warriors had the sense to flee, what chance did mere humans have?
Thus, the capital became a ghost city. Even the bounty hunters who once swarmed for profit had vanished.
---
Beyond the outskirts, Queen Qaida watched from the deck of her flagship, a sleek mothership gleaming with Nova-grade technology.
Behind her hovered an armada of Nova warships—each one bristling with cannons, ready to defend against any move from Thanos's fleet.
Their mission was simple: observe and guard.
Through the transparent observation dome, the Queen could see the spectacle unfold high above. Blades of light clashed in the clouds, each collision producing a boom that rattled her bones.
It wasn't just sound—it was a hymn of destruction, a song that seemed to pierce straight into the soul.
Each wave of power rippled through the heavens, shaking the sky and tearing the land apart below. It was divine fury made visible—something that no mortal mind could fully grasp.
And yet, they watched.
Because how often does one witness a war between gods?
---
Not far away, on a mountain overlooking the city, a band of bounty hunters had gathered to watch as well.
The cosmic orb that once drove them to fight and kill was long forgotten. No one cared about treasures anymore.
Under the shadow of two gods, greed felt meaningless.
The group that once bickered and threatened one another now stood silently together, bound by awe and fear.
Rocket the raccoon slung his gun across his back and let out a low whistle.
"Oh ho ho ho, I think I just fell in love with that woman."
A towering, scar-covered hunter gave him a sideways glare.
"If you're scared, say you're scared, Rocket."
Laughter rippled through the group. Even Star-Lord rolled his eyes, too tired to mock him.
But Gamora, standing apart from them, said nothing. Her green eyes were locked on the two figures locked in eternal combat above.
Her heart pounded—not just with fear, but with something else. Recognition.
She knew the woman fighting Thanos. Her father had mentioned her before—rarely, and never without anger.
That woman… she was someone Thanos truly feared.
Back then, Gamora never understood why. But now, seeing her in action, she finally did.
Each swing of that woman's sword sent shockwaves through space itself.
And somewhere deep inside, Gamora felt a spark of something dangerous—admiration, maybe even yearning.
A part of her whispered: So this is what true freedom looks like.
---
Suddenly, the sky split apart with a deafening explosion.
A massive silhouette plummeted through the clouds, trailing fire and thunder.
"Thanos is falling!" someone shouted.
The Queen's pupils dilated as she leaned forward, and the centurions around her stared in disbelief.
Could it be?
Had the Mad Titan actually lost?
Even the remnants of the Black Order, safe within their hidden fortress, stared in shock at the broadcast.
"Impossible…" one of them murmured.
"The Great Titan cannot be defeated!"
But Ebony Maw, slumped weakly beside them, shook his head.
"No," he whispered. "He hasn't lost yet."
---
Then came a roar like a meteor strike.
Thanos's body pierced through the protective barrier above the capital, smashing into the top of a skyscraper.
The impact was catastrophic.
The explosion leveled entire city blocks. Buildings within ten thousand meters crumbled as if made of paper.
Concrete split, the ground itself convulsed, and a storm of debris filled the sky.
Flames erupted everywhere.
Out of that ruin, a giant shape rose.
Thanos.
Covered in ash, blood dripping from his lip, he gripped his twin-edged sword tightly. His face was twisted with rage.
"Damn it!" he roared, the sound echoing through the dead city.
Even injured, he was terrifying—a living engine of destruction.
But this was no ordinary blood that ran from his wounds.
The Eternal Titan's blood shimmered faintly, pulsing with divine vitality.
Within moments, the cuts across his chest began to close. His breathing steadied. His fury only grew.
He had not fallen because of weakness.
He had fallen because of her.
---
Across the gap of shattered buildings, Bella descended slowly from the heavens, landing lightly atop a ruined tower.
She looked calm—too calm.
Golden light flickered in her eyes. Her white armor gleamed, unscarred.
Thanos stared at her, for the first time uncertain.
Who was this woman?
Her strength matched his, perhaps even surpassed it. Her reflexes were inhuman. And, more frighteningly, she was adapting—growing stronger with every clash.
For five minutes, they had fought evenly. But now…
He could feel the balance shifting.
Her swordsmanship had evolved mid-battle. Her awareness sharpened with every move.
Such rapid progression—it was unnatural, terrifying.
"An Earth woman…?" Thanos muttered under his breath.
The Earth was a primitive world, yet somehow it kept birthing beings of cosmic significance.
He had conquered civilizations across galaxies, yet never encountered a power like hers. It reminded him faintly of Odin's ancient might—majestic, radiant, and dangerous.
And that made him furious.
This woman stood in the way of his destiny.
He spat blood, clenched his sword, and growled,
"No one will stop me—not even you."
---
Then, Thanos vanished.
A shockwave followed a split-second later as he broke the sound barrier. The ground beneath him cracked open from the force of his leap.
In the blink of an eye, he was in front of her—his broadsword descending like a thunderbolt.
Bella didn't flinch. Her golden eyes glowed brighter, and the black-edged blade in her hand rose to meet his strike.
Boom!
The impact was apocalyptic.
The shockwave flattened what was left of the city.
The very air screamed under the pressure.
Steel met cosmic fire.
Sparks rained like meteors as their blades locked together, each trying to overpower the other.
Cracks splintered through the rooftop beneath Bella's feet. Glass exploded from every nearby window.
But she didn't yield. Instead, she smiled faintly.
"You'll make a fine stepping stone, Titan," she said softly.
"A necessary one—for me to reach the highest throne."
Thanos's jaw tightened. "Bella!"
The name came out as a snarl, half fury, half disbelief.
High above them, thunderclouds gathered once more, drawn by their power.
The battle of gods had not ended. It had only just begun.
---
And in that silent instant before they clashed again, every being watching—from Nova ships to bounty hunters—knew one thing for sure:
This fight would decide the fate of the stars themselves.
