Adina closed her eyes, focusing on the connection between herself and Virelya. She had to make sure every detail reached the Sage, especially since she knew she had no time left.
"Khaos is preparing for war," she said immediately she saw the familiar white light. "And he isn't planning to attack just Obsidian."
Virelya remained silent, listening to her every word.
"He has an army of beasts, Alma and Morgana are helping him strengthen them with potions and blood magic. I don't know exactly how strong they'll be when the attack begins, but they're going to be stronger than anything Thorne's warriors have faced before." She paused, shaking her head, her thoughts running back to what she'd witnessed the night before. "Stronger than anything any of us has ever faced."
Virelya's frown deepened. She moved closer to her daughter, ready to comfort her, but Adina shook her head. She had no time left.
