A chaotic pile of bedding, and two bare bodies were revealed.
Ma Miaodan picked up the smartphone, opened an app, and placed it against her fiancé's forehead.
The recent smartphones released in Great Xia have all integrated infrared temperature measurement, allowing temperature to be measured anytime, anywhere.
Ma Miaodan glanced at the number displayed on the screen and was startled: "Oh my God! 39.7 degrees, you've got a high fever!"
Zhou Furu was highly skeptical: "I feel perfectly fine now. Could it be that your phone's temperature function is malfunctioning?"
Ma Miaodan reached out to feel his forehead, then measured again with the phone. This time the temperature showed even higher—39.9 degrees.
She confirmed, "Honey, you really have a high fever!"
Zhou Furu refused to admit it: "A 40-degree fever should have me talking nonsense, right? Do I look like I'm talking nonsense to you?"
