Two months ago, Ye Zhi's mother received a contact from the hospital. Watching Ye Zhi, who couldn't wait even a moment and dashed out, Ye Qiu lay on the bed, crying tears of joy. Ye Qiu reached out, responding to her with a nostalgic tone. Since that time, a feeling began to sprout in Ye Zhi's heart. She wanted to get closer to him, to talk to him more, to recklessly throw herself into his arms, but none of these were possible.
Just being able to stay by his side and watch him was enough, Ye Zhi told herself, and then she started swinging the bamboo sword again. When her movements halted, she looked at the clock in the room, realizing it was already noon.
"Ah, I can't go on like this. I still have an appointment."
Ye Zhi stopped her vacant swinging, placed the bamboo sword next to a pine tree, and picked up a towel to wipe her sweat. She looked up towards the sky, seeing the blue sky through the cracked clouds.
