The auction site was packed with people. In the front of the hall, the court had dispatched an auctioneer. The first to be auctioned were two plots of land in the East City District—one thirty acres, the other two hundred acres. The starting prices for these two plots were five billion and thirty billion, respectively.
Right from the start, the competition was intense. Numerous companies began vying fiercely for these two plots. Land is currently the most precious commodity in China; once you use a piece, it's gone. Especially with the booming real estate industry, more eyes are on the current real estate market, and many want these two plots for real estate development.
