Sorry for the short chapter this week my mom is in the hospital and I cant really focuse on wrighting thank you for understanding.
It has been a few months since the tournament; most of that time has been a slow crawl of classes, with the most excitement coming from watching the duels that Jaden had in the anime, particularly his duel against the Paradox Brothers and Syrus. Fortunately, today is a day off from classes, so I am currently at the old temple preparing to learn how to manifest my spirit, study more spells from the Book of Life, and restore part of this temple to use as a base of operations in the future; however, with winter break approaching, there will not be enough time for a complete repair.
After clearing some debris from the grass next to the water, I was ready to start learning. "It is now time for your first lesson on manifesting your spirit. We will start by having you close your eyes and concentrate on connecting with it in your mind without proper communication. Trying to forcefully manifest it could result in damaging yourself or people around you. Even if you do succeed in connecting with it, the entity will attempt to take control of your body if you do not maintain complete control over the situation. Queen said these words while using her magic to show me all the negative experiences she has encountered in the past.
Following her instructions, I closed my eyes and tried to dive deep into my mind. After a few minutes, I eventually cleared my mind and awoke floating above a pitch-black void; below me was a large black hole that I recognized from my previous dream, and off to my left was an emerald green crest that gave me deathly cold chills when I looked at it. If I had to guess, the emerald green crest was my connection to Hela, reminding me of my purpose here. I sent my intention for communication down to the black hole.
After a second, I received a response back that it knew what I wanted from the beginning when this body was born and that I can use its power all I want as long as I don't intend on destroying the universe like the xyz monsters did in the past. After After obtaining its consent and knowing that it was always aware of my actions, I returned my conscience to the outside world.
After a minute I was wide awake again, looking at Queen. "I take it; you are ready?" she asked me after I saw how quickly I had awoken. "Yes, we are prepared to continue." I said,
"Good, with you accomplishing that first part so easily, you should be able to manifest and use the ability soon. Good, we will start small. Now take some of your spirit's power and your magic and imagination and try layering your spirit's claw over your non-dominant hand similar to your gloves you wear," she said.
Following her instructions, I began to visualize the outline of the claw over my left hand, then created it using a combination of my magic and my spirit's energy as it started to take shape. First, I formed the new muscles in dark blue and black, followed by the clear, steel-like skin featuring the white alchemical symbol for the sun in the palm, with white lines extending up the claw and silver claws at the tips. "Good, it looks like you did it; now test it by swiping at the large piece of debris right there," she said, pointing at a block of limestone with her staff.
Walking over to it, I wind up and swing my clawed hand, blowing a large piece of the debris; it had almost no resistance as I did it, like a hot knife through butter. "Now try using your gravity and fire," she said off to the side. After taking a few steps back, I aimed my palm at the stone and began to create a small fireball. I could feel the symbol in my palm glow as the fire grew hotter, changing from dark orange to gold. When I launched it, the fireball hit the stone; instead of exploding, it melted halfway into the stone before detonating and removing the top half of it. After doing this, I felt a small headache start to grow, but it's nothing I can't handle.
After taking a moment, I pointed my hand at the bottom half of the stone and used my gravity manipulation to start lifting it. Normally, I can't lift something this heavy for too long, but now it doesn't even feel like I'm lifting much. After holding it for about 30 minutes, I started to feel some strain, so I set it down. At that moment, I suddenly felt the urge from my spirit to touch the stone with the claw. Following the instructions, I touched the stone, and I could feel the lines and symbols light up; at the same time, the area where I touched the stone began to turn cold, similar to the curse of King Midas.
Thereafter, the claw faded as all the energy used to make it had run out. "Now that you have the hang of it, from now on you will practice every day on extending how long the manifestation lasts before moving on to manifest other body parts." Queen summoned some energy-infused food from her spirit world for me to eat, which would help restore, increase, and reinforce my magic.
For the rest of the afternoon I spent it restoring the outside of the temple's first floor before returning to my dorm room to study more of the book of life.
