Non-Administered World #97, Star Rail Universe…
At the crater where Voldemort had crashed after being struck by Hajime's black hole, Himeko, March, Caelus, and Dan Heng stared at what remained of the Dark Lord. Half of his body had been swallowed by the miniature black hole, leaving the rest of his flesh horribly mangled and barely recognizable, much to the disgust of everyone gathered around the crater.
Yet, despite his condition, he was still alive. Barely breathing, but definitely alive.
"Ugh… I still can't believe he's alive after that," March complained, staring at Voldemort from a safe distance. "Seriously, how much does this guy hate dying?"
"Apparently enough to mutilate his own soul five times," Caelus replied dryly.
"That's disgusting!"
"Indeed," Dan Heng agreed as he examined Voldemort's remaining body. "However, his condition is consistent with Noah's explanation. Whatever is sustaining his existence does not depend on the survival of his physical body."
Himeko nodded. "Until the Horcruxes are secured, let's make sure he stays exactly where he is. We cannot risk allowing whatever remains of him to escape and complicate our situation again."
"Then leave it to me!" March raised one hand, and thick blocks of Six-Phase Ice began forming around the crater, gradually sealing Voldemort's remains inside.
Dan Heng and Caelus stood nearby, keeping a careful watch in case the Dark Lord attempted anything.
Just as they finished securing Voldemort, a flash of silver light appeared above them. Lumine descended from Hyperion alongside Tobio, Sae, Natsume, Kouki, and Shigune. Not far behind them, the younger Aces and the rest of Noah Schweinorg's group arrived and landed nearby.
"Miss Himeko! Everyone!" Lumine waved as she approached. "Sorry to keep you waiting!"
"Not at all, Lumine." Himeko smiled. "We've only just finished securing the area. Everything is ready whenever you are."
Lumine nodded before turning toward the crater. However, the moment her eyes landed on Voldemort's remains inside March's Six-Phase Ice, her face twisted in disgust.
"…Hajime really didn't hold back, did he?"
"Understatement of the century," March muttered.
Kouki leaned forward curiously, only to immediately regret it. "Yikes. And here I thought everyone was exaggerating when they reacted to his remains…"
"Sharkbrain, don't get any closer!" Natsume warned, grabbing him by the collar and pulling him back.
"I was just looking! And don't tell me you wouldn't do the same, Birdbrain!"
"What did you say, Sharkbrain?!"
Their exchange earned a few chuckles from the group, but Lumine had already moved closer to Voldemort. She closed her eyes and raised her right hand, drawing upon the power of the Trailblaze.
"Alright… let's see if I can trace the paths between him and his Horcruxes."
A soft silver light surrounded her as her perception reached toward Voldemort's soul. Unlike Noah, who could establish a path directly to a destination and summon an object through Trailblaze, Lumine's Trailblaze ability is limited. So instead, she intended to use the connections between Voldemort and his separated soul fragments as a guide.
She remained still for several seconds until a thin silver thread came out from Voldemort's body, pointing toward the horizon.
"I think… I found something."
Everyone immediately turned toward her.
"Already?!" March exclaimed.
"Wait a moment. I need to make sure."
Lumine concentrated harder. The silver light around her hand brightened, and before long, four more threads emerged. Each one connected Voldemort to a piece of his soul that he had separated and hidden somewhere.
A smile slowly appeared on her face.
"I got all the trails! Now I'll start tracing each of them!"
She focused on the first silver thread and made it visible to everyone. It stretched from the crater and across the sky, growing brighter as Lumine poured more Trailblaze energy into it.
Soon, the thread solidified into a Silver Rail, extending toward a distant location beyond the horizon. A path had formed, leading directly to wherever the first fragment of Voldemort's soul was hidden.
Lumine opened her eyes and grinned. "Found the first one!"
AI-chan appeared beside her. [Trailblaze route detected! AI-chan shall start mapping the destination now!]
Void Archives also joined them. [Cross-referencing the route with the geographical and magical records provided by the Alliance.]
A projection of the world appeared before the group, zooming toward a remote area of the English countryside. An isolated, deteriorating residence stood near a village identified as Little Hangleton.
[Destination identified,] Void Archives reported. [An abandoned property formerly associated with the Gaunt family.]
"Marvolo Gaunt's ring," Lumine concluded.
Reines studied the projected location, then looked toward the others. "A ruined family residence in the middle of nowhere. Rather fitting for someone who apparently considered his ancestry more important than everyone else's existence."
Noah Schweinorg raised an eyebrow. "You make it sound as though you're surprised."
"I'm not. That's precisely the problem."
Tobio examined the Silver Rail stretching toward Little Hangleton. After considering the location and the information Void Archives provided, he turned to the group.
"Alright. We'll divide into teams for each location as it becomes available. There's no need for all of us to remain here waiting for the other routes." He looked toward Sae first. "Sae, take Hayate-chan, Miss Reines, and Miss Gray. You'll handle the ring."
"Understood." Sae nodded.
"That works for me!" Hayate-chan smiled. "If there's a curse protecting the ring, I should be able to help analyze it while we retrieve it."
Gray adjusted her hood before glancing toward the others. "And Miss Reines and I can examine the thaumaturgical defenses before anyone approaches the artifact."
"Naturally." Reines smiled. "Though given its owner, I suspect we'll find something exceptionally unpleasant."
"Then we'll have to proceed carefully," Sae replied. "Nobody touches the ring until we've properly identified its protections."
Tobio nodded while Himeko opened the communication channel to Chrono and the Clock Tower representatives. Within moments, several TSAB personnel and magical specialists were assigned to accompany the group, bringing additional protection and sealing equipment.
Once their preparations were complete, Sae, Hayate-chan, Reines, and Gray approached the waiting Silver Rail.
"So we just follow this?" Hayate-chan asked Lumine, examining the glowing path with considerable curiosity.
"Mhm!" Lumine nodded. "The Trail will bring you straight to the destination. Just be careful once you arrive. I can establish the route, but I can't guarantee that whatever is waiting at the other end will be friendly."
"Hehe! Got it!"
Sae gave the younger Hayate a small smile before gesturing for everyone to move.
A moment later, the first retrieval team stepped onto the Silver Rail, which carried them toward the abandoned Gaunt residence.
March watched them disappear in amazement.
"Seriously, Trailblaze is ridiculously convenient."
"Of course it is!" Lumine grinned.
"Just don't let Noah hear you say that," Caelus added. "He'll start explaining how everything in existence is technically a destination."
"…He actually would," Dan Heng agreed.
Lumine laughed before closing her eyes again, returning her attention to the remaining four connections.
"Alright! Next one!"
The second path took considerably less time to identify. Lumine had already familiarized herself with the sensation of Voldemort's divided soul, making it easier to distinguish the remaining connections from the countless magical links surrounding them.
This time, the Silver Rail extended toward a vast estate in Wiltshire.
[Malfoy Manor,] Void Archives immediately identified the property.
"The Malfoy family?" Noah Schweinorg narrowed his eyes upon hearing the name.
[Correct,] Void Archives answered. [A prominent pure-blood wizarding family known for its strong pro-pure-blood stance.]
Tobio immediately turned toward the others. "I'll take this one. Noah-san, Arisa-san, you're with me. We'll also need a few Clock Tower Enforcers and TSAB personnel to help secure the estate."
"Finally, something to do!" Younger Noah grinned.
Arisa gave him a sideways look. "Don't sound so happy about breaking into someone's house."
"We're retrieving an artifact containing a fragment of an evil wizard's soul."
"That doesn't make your enthusiasm any less suspicious."
"Coming from the girl who threatened to bonk all of us earlier, I find that accusation rather unfair."
Arisa smiled sweetly.
Noah Schweinorg immediately looked away.
Tobio watched their exchange before letting out a small, amused snort. "Let's just make sure nobody does anything unnecessary."
"Agreed," Arisa answered.
The younger Noah raised both hands. "Fine, fine. I'll behave."
"Knowing our Captain's behavior, that answer worries me," Tobio muttered.
After confirming their assignments with the Alliance, the second retrieval team departed along Lumine's newly established Silver Rail. Their destination was Malfoy Manor, where they would locate the second Horcrux.
As everyone watched the second group depart, Lumine continued tracing the remaining connections. The third one quickly caught her attention, although this particular trail was noticeably different from the others.
"Hmm… this one is strange."
"What do you mean?" Fate-chan asked.
"The path doesn't lead toward a building or anything like that." Lumine frowned as she examined the trail. "It's heading toward the coast."
A new Silver Rail formed above Mahora, stretching toward a remote section of Britain's coastline. The route eventually ended near an isolated seaside cavern, far away from any settlement.
Void Archives enlarged the geographical projection.
[An inaccessible coastal cave. Preliminary magical readings indicate extensive concealment enchantments and several defensive magic formations.]
Natsume studied the image. "That's quite a hiding place."
"Well, considering how paranoid Snake-face is, I suppose hiding something inside a cave surrounded by dangerous magic makes sense," Kouki commented.
Fate-chan frowned. "If there are several magical protections, we should be careful about entering directly."
Lumine agreed. "Natsume, please take this one. Fate-chan and Suzuka-san will accompany you, along with the assigned TSAB containment specialists, of course."
"Leave it to us!" Natsume answered confidently.
Suzuka nodded beside her. "We'll make sure to check the surroundings before approaching the artifact."
"And if there are dangerous creatures guarding the cave, I can keep them away from the others," Fate-chan added.
"Good." Himeko looked toward Natsume. "Keep everyone together. If the cave turns out to be more dangerous than expected, contact us immediately."
"Got it, Miss Himeko!"
A few moments later, the third retrieval team stepped onto the Silver Rail and departed toward the distant coastline.
With three Horcruxes located and their retrieval teams already on the move, Lumine turned her attention toward the remaining connections.
"Two more."
She raised her hand again, following the fourth thread. This time, the connection led toward London. At first, Lumine assumed the Horcrux had been hidden somewhere within the city's magical district. However, as the path became clearer, she realized that its destination was not merely somewhere in Diagon Alley. The Silver Rail approached a familiar white building before pointing underground.
"…Wait a minute. Isn't that…?" Lumine blinked in surprise.
Void Archives immediately displayed the corresponding location. [Destination confirmed. Gringotts Wizarding Bank.]
For several seconds, nobody spoke through the communication channel.
"Gringotts?" Olga Marie frowned.
"Apparently…" Lumine answered, looking equally surprised.
[The soul fragment appears to be located within one of the deeper sections of the bank's vault system,] Void Archives added as he read the magical readings.
"Don't tell me…" March murmured, already beginning to understand.
Lumine followed the final portion of the connection before confirming what they suspected.
"Yeah… one of Voldemort's Horcruxes is hidden inside Gringotts."
Unfortunately for Voldemort, the announcement was not heard only by those gathered around his remains. The entire Alliance was still connected to the same communication network, including the defenders stationed at the Meldiana Sanctuary.
And among them was someone who took the news very personally.
[THAT FILTHY, TREACHEROUS DARK WIZARD!!!]
The furious shout erupted through the communication channel so suddenly that almost everyone winced.
In the window connected to the Sanctuary, Director Ragnok stood trembling with rage. His expression was so terrifying that Welt Yang, Charlus Potter, Fleamont Potter, Damien Greengrass, and several nearby wizards instinctively moved away from him.
[ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT VOLDEMORT USED GRINGOTTS TO HIDE A FRAGMENT OF HIS OWN DAMNED SOUL?!]
"Uhh… apparently?" Lumine answered carefully, looking rather intimidated by the furious goblin.
[THAT BASTARD! THAT CURSED, ARROGANT, SNAKE-FACED BASTARD!] Ragnok's face twisted with even greater fury. [TOM RIDDLE! VOLDEMORT! WHATEVER THAT WORTHLESS FOOL CALLS HIMSELF, HOW DARE HE?!]
"Ragnok, perhaps we should…" Welt attempted to calm him.
[HE PLACED ONE OF THE DARKEST ARTIFACTS IN EXISTENCE INSIDE MY BANK!]
The elderly goblin slammed his fist into a nearby rock, shattering it into fragments and making the surrounding defenders take another step away from him.
[DOES THAT WORTHLESS WIZARD THINK GRINGOTTS IS HIS PERSONAL STORAGE ROOM FOR CURSED SOUL FRAGMENTS?!]
"…Wow." March stared at the communication window with wide eyes. She and the others were accustomed to Ragnok's calculating expression and scheming grin, but seeing him this furious was an entirely new experience.
"He's really angry," Caelus remarked.
"That would be an understatement," Dan Heng replied.
Ragnok continued cursing Voldemort and everything associated with him for another minute, much to the discomfort of everyone standing nearby. Even Charlus and Fleamont exchanged awkward glances as the goblin launched into another furious tirade about the sheer audacity of using Gringotts to conceal something so vile.
[I WILL PERSONALLY TAKE CARE OF THAT ACCURSED ARTIFACT! AND I WILL MAKE SURE THAT DAMNED FOOL REGRETS EVER THINKING HE COULD HIDE A PIECE OF HIS FILTHY SOUL INSIDE MY BANK!] Ragnok declared, turning toward the communication screen.
Noah, who had been listening to the entire outburst while maintaining the corrupted wall, looked rather awkward.
"Well… I can't exactly blame him for being angry."
"I'm honestly surprised he hasn't started demolishing the entire Sanctuary," Hachiman said dryly.
"Please don't give him any ideas, Hachi."
Back at the Sanctuary, Ragnok finally took a deep breath and forced himself to regain some composure. He then turned toward Welt, Charlus, Fleamont, and Damien.
"Lord Yang, Lord Charlus, Lord Fleamont, Lord Greengrass, I must apologize, but I will need to return to Gringotts immediately. I cannot allow something like this to remain inside my bank for even another minute."
"There is no need to apologize, Director. The Sanctuary is secure for now, and the recovery of that artifact is clearly important," Welt answered with an understanding smile.
Charlus nodded in agreement. "Lord Yang is right. After everything Voldemort has done, I wouldn't be surprised if that artifact was protected by some particularly nasty Dark Magic. You should return and make sure your people are properly prepared."
"And don't let anyone near the cursed thing without the proper precautions," Fleamont added, his expression turning grim. "Gringotts holds the wealth and belongings of countless wizarding families. The last thing we need is Voldemort's madness spreading to innocent people through something hidden inside their own bank."
"Believe me, Lord Fleamont, I have absolutely no intention of allowing that to happen!" Ragnok answered firmly.
"I'll coordinate with the Alliance to arrange additional specialists," Damien added. "Your people know Gringotts better than anyone, so we'll leave the vault's security and access procedures under your authority. Our personnel will assist with whatever precautions you require."
"Thank you. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation." Ragnok gave them a respectful nod. "I will leave the remaining arrangements here to you. Now, if you will excuse me, I have a certain cursed artifact to remove from my bank!"
With that, Ragnok and several goblins activated their Portkeys and returned directly to Gringotts. Meanwhile, Damien contacted the rest of the Alliance to arrange additional personnel to support Ragnok's group.
Back at Mahora, Lumine released a small sigh.
"That leaves one more."
She closed her eyes again and followed the final trail leading away from Voldemort.
Compared to the others, the last path was surprisingly familiar. It did not stretch toward some remote region or hidden estate. Instead, it headed toward one of the most famous magical institutions in Britain.
"Found it!" Lumine opened her eyes and smiled.
The fifth Silver Rail appeared above Mahora and extended toward the distant mountains of Scotland. Its destination became clearer as the path approached an enormous castle surrounded by powerful magical defenses.
[Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry,] Void Archives identified it immediately.
"Hogwarts?!" March's eyes widened in surprise.
"Yes," Lumine confirmed. "Looks like Voldemort hid one of his Horcruxes inside the school."
"Seriously?!" Caelus stared at the map in disbelief. After all, he and March had been there just a few hours earlier, fighting Voldemort and his army themselves.
"Considering how obsessed he is with Hogwarts and its founders, that doesn't surprise me anymore," Himeko said.
At Hogwarts, the appearance of the Silver Rail did not go unnoticed. The teachers and defenders stationed around the castle could only stare in disbelief as the glowing path stretched across the sky before descending toward the school itself.
"…Of course, Tom would hide something precious to him in the place he considers his home," Dumbledore murmured with a weary sigh.
[Headmaster Dumbledore,] Lumine called through the channel. [We've traced the final Horcrux to Hogwarts.]
"Yes, Lady Lumine. We can see the very trail itself," Dumbledore answered with a faint, helpless smile.
McGonagall looked toward him with concern. "What should we do now, Albus?"
Dumbledore did not answer immediately. Instead, his eyes followed the Silver Rail as it descended through the castle and continued toward the seventh floor.
Flitwick, standing nearby, suddenly realized something.
"Headmaster… isn't that path leading toward…?"
"It appears so, Filius." Dumbledore's expression became grave. "It must be hidden in that room."
The professors exchanged uneasy glances before Dumbledore began walking, following the Silver Rail through Hogwarts' hallways. McGonagall, Flitwick, Sprout, and several other members of the teaching staff accompanied him, while the remaining defenders continued maintaining security around the castle.
The trail guided them through several passages and staircases before finally reaching a corridor on the seventh floor.
Dumbledore stopped before an apparently ordinary wall, opposite the tapestry depicting Barnabas the Barmy attempting to teach trolls ballet. The Silver Rail ended directly in front of it.
"The Room of Requirement," he murmured.
"He's been hiding a piece of his soul inside Hogwarts this entire time?" McGonagall stared at the wall in disbelief.
"Perhaps Tom believed this was a place where nobody would think to search," Dumbledore replied with another sigh.
"He used our school to conceal something… so vile." McGonagall's expression darkened at the implication.
"Unfortunately," Dumbledore answered quietly.
For a moment, he simply stared at the wall and the Silver Rail leading toward it. Then he turned his attention toward the communication window beside them.
"Lady Lumine, we have followed the Trail you established, and it has led us to the seventh floor of the castle. I believe the Horcrux is hidden within the Room of Requirement."
[Thank you for confirming it, Headmaster,] Lumine answered. [Please wait there for the retrieval team. We don't know what kind of protections Voldemort placed around the Horcrux, so it would be safer if everyone went in together.]
"Understood," Dumbledore agreed. "We shall secure this corridor and await your companions."
McGonagall immediately began arranging protective enchantments around the nearby passages while Flitwick prepared additional detection charms. Meanwhile, Sprout coordinated with the other staff to ensure that no students approached the area until the artifact had been removed.
Back at Mahora, Lumine turned toward the final members of the retrieval group.
"Kouki, Shigune, Miss Olga Marie, and Nanoha-chan, please handle Hogwarts. Headmaster Dumbledore and the staff will be waiting for you, so coordinate with them before entering the room."
"Alright! Leave it to us!" Kouki grinned as he cracked his knuckles. "Compared to the other places, this one should be pretty easy. We even have the school's Headmaster helping us."
Olga Marie immediately gave him a stern look. "Don't underestimate the situation just because we're going to a school. We're dealing with an artifact containing a fragment of Voldemort's soul, remember?"
"Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm just saying we won't have to worry about breaking into the place."
"That's not the point!"
Shigune giggled at their exchange while Poh stirred in her arms. "Fufufu. Don't worry, Marie-san. Poh and I will help keep an eye on everything. Right, Poh?"
The little creature responded enthusiastically, earning a delighted smile from Nanoha-chan.
"I'll also help with everything I can!" Nanoha-chan declared. "Besides, Hogwarts has just been through a terrible battle. We should make sure nothing else happens to the school or anyone inside it."
"That's right. We'll do our best to help everyone." Shigune smiled warmly at her.
"Good. At least someone understands the seriousness of this mission," Olga Marie said with a satisfied nod.
"Oi! Why am I the only one getting scolded?!" Kouki stared at her in disbelief.
"Because you're the only one who needs it."
"That's unfair!"
Their argument earned several laughs from the others, while Lumine shook her head in amusement.
"Alright, alright. I'll leave Hogwarts to you guys. Just make sure you follow the Headmaster's instructions, okay?"
"Of course!" Nanoha-chan answered cheerfully.
"Assign another support unit to accompany them," Himeko added as she turned toward the Alliance channel. "Hogwarts already has its own magical defenses, so we'll need to coordinate with the professors rather than interfere with their wards."
[The support squad assigned to March and Caelus will join them,] Chrono replied. [They are among the best the Alliance has to offer, particularly when it comes to barrier and sealing techniques.]
Once everything was arranged, Kouki, Shigune, Olga Marie, and Nanoha-chan departed along Lumine's fifth Silver Rail, heading toward Hogwarts to meet Dumbledore and the waiting professors.
With the final destination confirmed, Lumine stepped back from Voldemort, who remained sealed inside March's Six-Phase Ice, and examined the five Silver Rails she had established.
Each one stretched toward a different location: the abandoned Gaunt residence, Malfoy Manor, the coastal cavern, Gringotts, and Hogwarts. Despite the distances separating them, every path remained clearly visible through the power of Trailblaze, allowing the retrieval teams to follow their assigned routes without wasting time searching for the hidden artifacts.
She took another moment to make sure the connections were stable before turning toward the communication channel.
"All five Horcruxes have been found, and the retrieval teams have been dispatched to collect them!"
Noah nodded and smiled as the Alliance display updated with the confirmed destinations and assigned recovery teams.
"Thank you for your hard work, Lumi."
"Hehe! Thanks!" Lumine smiled happily at the praise before looking toward the other communication windows. "How's everyone doing? Can each team give us a quick update?"
[First Team here. We've reached the outskirts of Little Hangleton,] Sae reported from another window. [Reines and Gray are preparing to examine the protections around the property.]
[And I must say, whoever placed these curses certainly wasn't interested in welcoming visitors,] Reines added with an amused smile. [It's almost impressive how thoroughly unpleasant this place is.]
[Which is why we're not touching anything until we've finished checking it!] Hayate-chan replied.
[Precisely,] Gray agreed.
[Second Team here,] Tobio reported. [We've reached Malfoy Manor, and our accompanying Enforcers are securing the surrounding area. We'll begin searching for the diary once we've confirmed that no one inside the estate can interfere with the operation.]
[And apparently, the Malfoys aren't very happy about having unexpected visitors,] Noah Schweinorg added with a grin.
[You aren't helping the situation by smiling at them like that!] Arisa complained beside him.
[What? I haven't done anything!]
[Yet!]
[Third Team here!] Natsume answered next. [We're getting close to the cave, but this place looks seriously creepy from here. There are magical barriers everywhere, and I wouldn't be surprised if something nasty was waiting inside.]
[We haven't encountered anything dangerous yet,] Fate-chan added. [But Suzuka-chan and I are helping Natsume-san examine the surrounding area before we approach the entrance.]
[Good. Don't rush in,] Himeko reminded them.
[Don't worry, Miss Himeko! We're being careful!] Natsume replied cheerfully.
[Gringotts reporting!] Ragnok announced, looking considerably more composed than he had been at the Sanctuary. [We found the vault containing the Horcrux. It is now sealed under my direct authority, and our senior curse-breakers are preparing to examine its protections. The Alliance personnel arranged by Lord Greengrass have also arrived.]
[Good to hear, Director,] Chrono answered. [Please make sure your people coordinate with our specialists before attempting to remove the artifact.]
[You needn't worry, Admiral. I have no intention of allowing that cursed thing to cause any further trouble inside my bank!] Ragnok replied firmly. His expression darkened again as he added, [And once this is over, the Lestranges and that snake-faced bastard will have a great deal to answer for!]
March winced. "Yep… he's still angry."
"Wouldn't you be?" Caelus asked.
"Fair point."
[Fifth Team here!] Kouki announced enthusiastically. [We're almost at Hogwarts! I can already see the castle ahead!]
[And for once, nothing troublesome has happened along the way,] Olga Marie added with obvious relief. [We've already contacted Headmaster Dumbledore, and his staff will meet us once we arrive.]
[Everyone has been very cooperative so far,] Shigune added with a smile. [The professors are preparing to help us search for the Horcrux.]
[And they've already secured the seventh floor!] Nanoha-chan added excitedly. [So we should be able to begin once we get there!]
"That's good," Himeko replied. "Remember to follow the Headmaster's instructions and coordinate with the Alliance support team before entering the Room of Requirement."
[Understood!] the four answered.
Lumine listened to each team's report before turning toward the almost unrecognizable Voldemort with a rather satisfied look.
"Well, Voldy…" She crossed her arms, a smug smirk spreading across her face. "You certainly went through a lot of trouble hiding those things, didn't you?"
"Lumine?" March raised an eyebrow.
"Too bad, the Nameless are good at finding places nobody wants found."
Caelus whistled at Lumine's words. "Well… that's a very Trailblaze line."
"Indeed," Dan Heng agreed. "Although in this case, I believe that habit is working considerably in our favor."
Himeko giggled at their exchange. "With the Horcruxes located, we can finally concentrate on securing them."
Lumine nodded at Himeko's words as they watched the five trails where the fragments of Voldemort's soul had been scattered across Britain, each hidden behind wealth, secrecy, dangerous enchantments, or the Dark Lord's own arrogance. He had placed them where he believed nobody would ever find them, trusting that their continued existence would protect him from death, no matter what happened to his body.
Unfortunately for him, the Nameless had never been particularly interested in respecting destinations that were supposed to be unreachable.
====== Chapter 247 END ======
