Chapter 445 - MGSFV?! Chapter 446. Raven, I Want to Make a Game Called "100 SP"

MGSFV?! Chapter 446. Raven, I Want to Make a Game Called "100 SP"

Also...

What Hokuto said wasn't entirely accurate.

It's true that Kiana and the others might do things they know are impossible—because that's who they are.

No need to repeat that old saying.

But the fight with Kevin here? That clearly had nothing to do with that.

The reason both sides came to blows—was more because Kevin now only recognizes combat as a valid form of "dialogue."

"Defeat me. Force me to step aside."

That simple. That direct. No elaborate tricks involved.

And maybe—for the Kevin of now—that really is the most appropriate way to "communicate."

Punch a hole straight through your chest—to make you bare your heart, physically and emotionally!

Of course, "punch" could also be replaced with greatswords, gauss cannons, or even fist weapons...

That said, the current battle hadn't quite developed into that level of gut-spilling (literally) exchange.

Instead, the fight—supposed to last for a long time—was abruptly interrupted thanks to Fu Hua and... the Herrscher of Sentience.

And so, Hokuto got her chance to reappear and continue doing whatever it is she wanted to do.

As for what that is—

"The current result isn't bad either."

Hokuto looked at the exhausted trio and spoke slowly: "Though it's a bit unfair to the Sovereign—since we've only just met as friends, shouldn't we get a little time alone?"

Though she addressed all three of them, her gaze remained locked solely on Bronya.

It gave people the distinct impression that...

Was she... thinking about Duck?

That kind of feeling.

Due to the strange tension built up earlier, Bronya couldn't help but try to question her.

"What exactly are you—"

She only managed a few words.

Suddenly, a powerful blankness rushed in—like being drugged—dragging her into darkness.

And it was fast. Really fast.

Anyone who's experienced full-body anesthesia might deeply relate to what Bronya felt right now.

That moment right before losing consciousness, full of thoughts like "No, I mustn't close my eyes yet! What if the doctor thinks the anesthesia's kicked in and starts cutting—I'm still awake!"

Then the next second—wake up in the PACU, post-op, dazed: "Who am I? Where am I? What am I doing?"

...

Gameplay transitioned appropriately back to free control mode.

The mission prompt guided players to the next location.

In a past version of Honkai Impact 3rd, continuing the main story would've required clearing a New Atlan support quest.

But Hokuto thought it over and changed that—since it wasn't really connected.

That side story just introduced a few fun tales from the Previous Era.

Most of those came from Fire Moth's logistics team member, the "Gossip Prince" Eluon.

Some might not remember Eluon—but they surely remember his gossip:

Mobius is a secret lovechild of Kalpas, broken stuff is Kalpas's fault, someone feeling unwell? Must be Mobius again...

That Eluon managed to survive in Fire Moth for so long—and even get along with many of the Flame-Chasers—could probably be considered... legendary (fog).

Aside from those fun tales—

There was also some coverage on certain special members of Grey Serpent...

Just how special?

These Grey Serpents actually thought like this:

Worried for the children's safety, so followed them secretly. But didn't want to deprive them of their chance to grow, so stood back coldly. Only stepping in during true crisis...

Sometimes, if you don't quite grasp the diversity of humanity—Grey Serpent's diversity will definitely leave an impression.

Anyway.

That's the gist of the optional story.

Though all quite fun—and when Elysia had covered them during her livestream, the chat response was pretty enthusiastic—Hokuto didn't want to make them mandatory.

Thus...

Players could smoothly continue progressing through the main story.

They moved the character to the next waypoint.

Triggered the cutscene.

The screen first faded to black—then lit up again.

Seele appeared at the center of the screen.

Standing near the elevator platform beside the Finality Impact Crater, she looked into the dark, deep descent ahead.

A powerful, oppressive residual force was rising from the abyss beneath her—so thick it seemed to taint the very air.

Worried for her companions, Seele had returned quickly after confirming the shelter's safety.

But what she felt upon reaching the crater—

"Hmm?"

Seele frowned in confusion.

The lingering power was rapidly weakening over time.

"All these anomalies are fading faster and faster... But why can't I sense Bronya and the others?"

"What's happening down there?"

Her brows furrowed further.

Pacing in anxious circles, she finally made up her mind.

"I can't... just wait here!"

Tch.

The moment she smelled danger to Duck—she couldn't hold back.

Emergency deployment!

Blue Reign girls always deliver.

[Goodness, Seele has only Bronya in her heart.]

[Given how this always plays out... shouldn't someone be getting jealous?]

[You forgot—Black Seele is still disconnected.]

[Ah! Hope Blackie comes back soon.]

Very soon—there's a CG for it too.

[Speaking of jealousy, y'all just assume it's Black Seele—no hesitation?]

Is there a problem with that?

Of course not.

Because Black Seele is clearly...

Keep reading and you'll see.

...

Seele made her decision and descended via the lift.

Relying on her honed senses from the Sea of Quanta, she carefully pushed forward.

She had no idea how far she'd walked—but signs of battle were evident.

Just no one in sight.

"There's no one here..."

"So then, where are the other members of World Serpent?"

"For example... Little Sora's mentor... Did they stay on Earth?"

Right! Where did Sora's teacher go?

Truly mysterious.

Naturally, some players started pulling out the classics.

[Raven is charging her SP (instant reply)]

["I will fight for all that is beautiful in this world! The decisive moment has come! Ready to strike! Feather Arrow Spiral +12 SP..."]

[You're right, but '100 SP' is a brand new SP-charging game self-developed by Raven. Set in the world of Abyss and Memorial Arena, you'll be granted the title of 'Second-or-Third-Best Fire Support'...]

[Why are you all so good at this?]

"I swear..."

Bang!

Hokuto had been enjoying the bullet chats—until a soft bang hit his ears.

He instinctively turned his head.

Raven had stood up in the middle of a group, waving her arms enthusiastically.

If you focused, you could hear her shouting:

"I've decided—I'm really going to make a game called '100 SP'!!!"

And don't doubt Raven's capabilities in this world.

Don't forget—before joining HoYoverse, she ran her own game studio.

HoYoverse's current dev progress owed a lot to merging with Raven Studio.

So yeah...

Hokuto: "..."

He muted his mic and grinned toward her direction.

"Miss Natasha, would you like some tech support?"

"? You're not saying you're worried I'd develop the game like I charge SP—slow and painful—are you?"

"Ah? No, not at all."

"Really?"

Raven remained skeptical.

"Well..."

Seeing her this cautious, Hokuto shrugged.

Honestly, though he was always the first to start memes—he never joked about people directly to their face.

And his memes were usually harmless anyway.

"Anyway, if you need help down the line, just submit a request. I'll find someone to lend a hand."

With that—

Hokuto returned his focus to Elysia's stream and unmuted.

By now, bullet chats had already taken a new turn.

[The pain of charging 3 SP only to find yourself empty—it mirrors Raven's island-blasting backstory. This skill design perfectly reflects her character arc. Apologize to Miss Natasha!]

[Apologies to Miss Natasha. I hereby pledge never again to make any Raven-mocking remarks, anywhere, anytime.]

[That was Spiral-Me, not Evil-Me. (doge)]

[You've mastered the art of mind-splitting.]

[Seriously, Raven's still trying to figure out why the island flew. She's got no time to charge SP—get real. (doge)]

Tch~~

This really...

Only made Miss Natasha even more determined to develop that game.

Didn't it?

Well.

Elysia was already controlling Seele to push ahead.

...

Soon enough—she reached the next zone.

"A normal moon surface... is it usually this deserted?"

Seele looked around, thinking aloud.

"Mmm... thinking like that, I guess it's not so scary."

Though she said that—her posture still looked a bit nervous.

Just then—

'Seele, don't be afraid.'

A line of silent text flashed across the screen.

Huh?

Was that—!

Many players perked up.

Was it time to ship?

But...

Seele didn't seem to notice anything strange.

She continued murmuring to herself: "Mm... that's right, Seele. Don't be afraid."

"Bronya once said—fear steals your rationality. It causes panic and judgment errors. So—I can't be afraid."

Then—

Someone, let's not name names yet, suddenly burst out with a second line.

'Hey! You're not alone!'

"Bronya and the others must be trying to contact me too... Mm. I'm not alone. I can't give up."

Seele still showed no reaction.

Once, twice... and still no response—

That person was about to lose it.

'...'

Once the emotion hit—whatever final barrier remained between them—vanished.

"You idiot! You really are a dummy!!"

A voice rang loud and clear in Seele's mind.

The voice she knew best.

Seele froze in place—tears nearly welling up.

All her original thoughts were wiped away.

Her heart filled with the warmth of regaining something long lost.

The screen transitioned perfectly.

In front of her—a boundless mental space.

A place Seele knew well—but for now, the familiar figure wasn't there.

"...Seele?" the voice came—tinged with unease.

"Mm."

This time, she heard it loud and clear.

[LOL]

[So sweet it hurts]

[www these two are too precious]

It had been so long...

The relief of hearing that voice again—

Seele was overwhelmed with joy.

She turned instinctively—trying to find Black Seele's figure.

"Seele, where are you? I can't see you..."

"Don't be scared," Black Seele sighed softly. "I'm right here."

"Seele!!"

The voice came from behind her.

Seele moved to turn around.

"Wait!"

Black Seele rushed to stop her: "...Not yet. Just wait a second."

[Hold on! Let me hide the body pillow first]

[This one still smells like Seele.jpg]

[Fixing her hair? Doing makeup? Blackie's got pride now?]

[Bet she's secretly crying and doesn't want to show it]

[Someone's dropping little pearls~~ I won't say who]

...

The chat was glowing.

Time flowed on. This short wait left Seele visibly impatient.

Until Black Seele spoke again—

"All right."

Almost the instant she said it—Seele spun around and bombarded her with questions.

"Finally! What happened? Are you okay?"

"...I-I'm fine."

Clearly overwhelmed by Seele's enthusiastic outburst.

The roles had reversed.

Well, not exactly.

Because truthfully, even though Seele looked soft and delicate—

She'd always been the more aggressive one.

After all, it was White Seele who took Duck's first kiss.

So...

White Seele > Duck > Black Seele.

Undeniable.

Confirmed.
