The sound of the door opening, accompanied by the sounds of footsteps was enough to let Paola know that her parents had returned from Sanly university.
That made her sigh deeply. 'Did they have to return home so quickly?'. She thought to herself, but forced a smile on her face as soon as they arrived in the living room.
"Sweetie!".
"My princess!".
Georgia and Kingston exclaimed before they hurried to her side and gave her a hug which came with many more kisses on her forehead and her cheeks.
"I- that's eno-". She tried to stop them from showering her with too many affections, but she gave up on that midway and allowed them to do whatever they wanted.
She knew best not to refuse them because they were going to be hurt and ask her a lot of questions about why she did not love them anymore.
She was not ready for any of those questions.
