The heater was on in the living room, and the floor‑to‑ceiling windows shut out the cold from outside.
Luo Luo, Yan Yan, and Shi Yunshen were all called into the room to sit.
Because they'd had New Year's Eve dinner early, they'd already finished eating, and the sky had only just turned dark.
The living room was brightly lit. Luo Luo sat on the sofa munching on little cookies, while Yun Su and the house's butler went to the kitchen to bring them ginger tea.
She had just walked out when she heard Shi Yunshen say:
"Have you set a date for your engagement banquet yet?"
Yan Yan was handling all of that. Luo Luo only had to pick the style and design she liked; she didn't know anything else.
She shook her head. "No idea yet."
Yun Su's hand froze at once. After quite a while, she walked out from the back, her expression unchanged as she first handed the ginger tea to each of them.
"Drink some to warm you up."
Then she looked at Yan Yan and said, "You two are getting married?"
