Today's lunch is no different from yesterday's; Lin Mubai always serves his wife before finally filling his own stomach with the leftovers. To this, An Nan feels helpless: "You asked me to deliver the meal, yet I end up eating more. So what's the point of me being here?"
Lin Mubai, eating happily with rice in his mouth, twitched slightly at the corner of his lip, almost spraying the rice out. His wife truly is oblivious, assuming everyone at home has noticed that he just wants to see her more, hence no one stopped him. But his wife, just does not think in that direction at all.
And Lin Mubai doesn't want her to know his true intentions, so he simply continues to eat with no further comment.
After lunch, An Nan, feeling extremely bored, sat on the office sofa not knowing what to do. Sleeping right after a meal felt like being a certain kind of slaughtered animal. To avoid becoming that, she decided not to take a nap this afternoon.
