Charlotte asked the household servants to help move her things out of Robert Stephens' room, but upon hearing her request, the servants were collectively stunned and didn't dare to move.
Left with no choice, she had to tidy up herself.
Because the two of them lived together, there were many of her belongings in the room. When the gathered servants in the hallway saw her coming out with her pajamas, their faces showed expressions that were indescribable and yet seemed like they wanted to say something.
One bold servant stepped forward to stop her: "Miss Smith."
