Christopher Scott very gentlemanly got out of the car and opened the door for Sophia Bennett.
"Thank you!" Sophia courteously thanked him as she got out.
Christopher observed the unhappy smile on the girl's lips, took a deep breath, and reminded her once more: "Sophia, I'll say it one last time, don't waste your time on me. I have no feelings for you, and that won't change."
Despite the dilemma, Christopher still disclosed his thoughts truthfully to Sophia. He didn't want her to waste her time on him, and he was certain that even if he ever recovered from this emotional turmoil, the person he would spend his life with would definitely not be Sophia.
