Ian Hobbs listened to the story of Christopher Scott and Seven Murray, feeling a bit embarrassed, and said, "Back in school, I always had a secret crush on Seven, but you two were recognized as a couple, so I always pretended to be indifferent to her, pretending I didn't like her."
"A few days ago, I heard my mom mentioning that Seven was going on a blind date, and I was thrilled."
"Christopher, this time I won't hold back, won't consider our old classmates' relationship. We'll compete fairly. Do you have any objections?"
Christopher stared intently at Ian, looking at the brilliant smile at the corner of the man's mouth. He wanted to dislike him, but somehow he couldn't bring himself to do it.
So, he took a deep breath, looked at Ian, and said with a smile, "No objections. Having an opponent like you makes me both anxious and pleased."
Christopher's smile was as bright, yet carried a hint of bitterness.
