Sophie noticed Asher Land's face gradually darkening, and quickly smiled to ease the situation.
"Alexander, try eating a bit more before judging the taste, okay?"
This must be the first time Asher Land has cooked for her, right? She couldn't quite remember, but she knew he usually hated going into the kitchen.
"If you don't like it, then don't eat it." Asher Land said expressionlessly, picking up the car keys from the coffee table, "I'm headed to the office. Call me if you need anything."
As he spoke to Sophie, Alexander quickly chimed in.
"Uncle, are you sure you'll pick up if we call?" Alexander's tone was a bit disgruntled.
"Alexander!" Sophie interrupted him.
Asher Land didn't say anything and directly walked out of the apartment.
After he left, Sophie didn't forget to lecture Alexander.
"Look at your attitude just now, it really wasn't good."
