Chapter 78 - Chapter 78: The Meeting – Part Five

Sand looks at them all, smiling.

He sees the tension clearly on their faces, yet he doesn't care.

He speaks slowly, with clear words—

words that make you feel as if there is no danger at all,

as if the conversation is completely normal.

But…

that is not true.

Sand asks everyone:

"Let me ask you a question…

What do you expect from the achievements of any intelligence agency or organization in the world?

In any novel or story, what is an intelligence organization?

Surveillance?

Assassinations?

Spies?

Protection?

What do you expect? Tell me…

Do you think I'll stand here and say that we've hacked the world and know everything?"

Then he falls silent,

as if his silence is a note completing his speech.

In a single moment, the rhythm changes.

His voice becomes faster.

As if he is controlling emotions…

and the entire room.

"Do you think our intelligence organization is just people and spies everywhere?

That we assassinate whoever we want, and no one can escape us?

Do I seem to you silent, powerful, imposing—

with everything under my control?"

A faint smile appears on his face.

"Unfortunately… that's true.

I am exactly that.

And I don't care how I appear,

because I can change, adapt, become anyone…

to know what I want."

Suddenly, he goes silent.

Everyone looks at one another, not understanding anything,

but their heartbeats accelerate—

faster than their minds can process what he said.

Then, without warning, Sand asks quickly, a strange question:

"Did you know that among every three friends,

or any family of three or more,

or even three strangers walking down the street…

two of them work for me?"

Their eyes widen.

"One in the intelligence organization…

and the other from the underworld.

Neither of them knows they work for me,

and neither knows they are on the same team.

As for the third…

either a good citizen,

or someone working for the Union Organization or the Justice Organization."

He adds calmly—deadly calm:

"And those two organizations belong to Egypt.

Their leaders are here with us."

He takes a deep breath, then says with confidence:

"I can proudly say that all humans—

of all ages, all over the world—

work for us… without knowing it.

Even heads of state.

Even the most influential figures."

He pauses, then continues:

"And of course…

all modern technology is under our control.

Even if we didn't create it,

even if we had no hand in it—

it works for us."

He looks at all of them.

"So, what do you think of this achievement?

Isn't it enough?

An impossible achievement…

yet we achieved it."

All those present nod unconsciously,

as if their bodies move on their own.

Sand continues, then says:

"But…"

Everyone freezes.

"Is there a 'but' after all this?

Is there still a 'but'?"

Sand smiles.

"This… is only the first achievement.

Just the beginning.

It would have been enough for any other organization."

He steps forward.

"We are no longer just an organization that knows everything…

We are an organization that protects everyone

and helps everyone.

There is no deal with the Organization of Economy

unless we assist them—

and emerge victorious."

His voice lowers.

"No one can even think of killing someone inside the Gates,

or in the underworld,

or of doing anything against Islam…

or anything I do not want."

The tension in the hall intensifies.

"We know when the idea of murder forms in someone's mind,

or when someone intends harm against Egypt or the world.

We are thousands of steps ahead…

even before the thought is born.

We plan.

We send ideas.

All in service of a greater plan."

Then, calmly—terrifyingly—he says:

"We can make one person hate another…

and then kill them.

It looks natural."

He pauses.

"But in reality…

it's just domino pieces,

intertwined strings.

We move one piece…

and the rest fall."

A demonic smile spreads across his face.

"So tell me…

do you think this is enough?"

Silence fills the room.

Shock is written on every face.

One thought passes through all their minds:

You madman…

is there really more?

If the world knew who you truly are,

children and adults alike would sleep early,

afraid you'd appear in their nightmares.

If we put your face on alcohol and cigarettes,

no one would ever touch them again.

And yet…

because of you, billions of humans would be saved.

Sand's eyes fill with a faint smile as he stands with dignity,

reading them as if nothing could be hidden from him.

"For we…

did not only infiltrate humans."

Suddenly, the massive screen changes.

A video appears—

a battle between the Yeti King, vampires, and a giant

in the Mediterranean regions.

Everything is shown—

from the beginning of the meeting

to the transformation of the Yeti King

and his declaration as ruler of the Mediterranean regions.

This time, the hall is filled with terror.

But the President of Egypt,

Commander Abdelrahman,

and the heads of the other organizations…

do not change their expressions.

As if they already knew this video.

One question echoes in everyone's mind:

How did he do this?

No human—or human technology—

can cross the barriers between regions.

Is he human?

Or is there a secret?

Auras explode as everyone prepares to fight,

even though they know they cannot defeat Sand.

Reason disappears.

If humans cannot cross the barriers…

is Sand from another race?

No… impossible.

He was with them before all these events.

Then…

is he cooperating with other races?

Is he a spy?

What is his goal?

Seconds pass like years.

Sand looks at them with complete indifference,

as if the coming battle means nothing to him.

A single moment separates them from a fight

that could destroy the entire place—

like a meteor falling from the sky.

Everyone knows Sand would emerge unscathed.

But if the heads of the other organizations intervened,

capturing him would be difficult—

because they do not want to harm him.

Suddenly, the President of Egypt speaks:

"Silence."

The auras settle.

Everyone notices that the President,

Commander Abdelrahman,

and the heads of the organizations

never moved from the beginning.

They realize they rushed to judgment.

Sand smiles and begins to explain—

even though he could have said this from the start.

But he did what he wanted.

"As you can see…

we have infiltrated the regions of the world of Ceres,

and now we have eyes, ears, and hands there."

He looks at them.

"And here, I end my report on our achievements—

not because they are finished,

but because the rest are classified… for now."

He bows slightly.

"And I thank you for your interaction."

He asks permission from the President of Egypt,

moves, looks at everyone,

then stops at Hossam,

the head of Sinai Global Academy.

He smiles, winks at him—provoking him—

then sits down.

Unease fills the hall,

yet no one objects.

The President of Egypt says nothing—

as if he approves.

Everyone looks at him as if asking:

Why did you let him present first?

Didn't we decide he'd go last?

We nearly got heart attacks—

and whoever comes after him won't get any attention.

The President smiles,

as if he did it intentionally—just to annoy them.

Then he says:

"Hossam…

show us your report."

"Hey, I'm back, so don't be upset. And as you expected, we're approaching Arc 3. So, what do you think of the second arc so far? Do you like it being short, or would you prefer it to be longer? Please reply so I know when I plan Arc 3. And don't worry, I won't take a break."
