Chapter 259 - Chapter 259

"I wish to no longer fear sunlight."

When Raditz rushed over, he happened to hear Shura's wish.

"Your wish is granted." Surprise crossed Shura's face as the wish was instantly granted.

"Already over that Quickly?" Raditz was stunned. So it really was just making a wish, no offerings, no price?

After the wish was granted, Shenron's body gradually turned translucent, and the sky began to return to normal. The seven Dragon Balls shot into the air as stone, scattering in all directions.

"Sunlight?! Sunlight! Hahahaha, I'm finally not afraid of sunlight anymore."

Shura extended a finger into the light. Nothing unusual happened. He placed his whole arm under the sun. When he was sure the sunlight could no longer harm him, he burst out laughing.

"Hey, how long are you going to laugh?" Raditz was furious. "You wasted my wish, but I am generous. Submit to me and help me find all the orbs to make a wish, and I'll let this slide."

"Submit to you? Are you dumb? You think a mere Earthling can make me submit?"

Raditz talked big, but Shura wasn't buying it. He flatly refused.

"Your combat power is only 600. Mine is 1500."

In the universe, the victor isn't always decided by combat power alone. But for the most part, it really comes down to comparing numbers.

" Then open your eyes wide and watch."

Shura stopped hiding his presence and fully released his ki.

"600... 700... 800... 1000..." His combat power soared, finally stopping at the 1500 mark.

Shura and Raditz were now roughly equal.

"Impossible?! How could a warrior with over 1000 combat power appear on this low-class planet?"

The moment he saw his opponent's true combat power, Raditz panicked. He had once been evaluated as an elite Saiyan warrior, yet now he was terrified just facing an opponent with comparable strength.

'This was supposed to be the edge of the universe, the planet with the lowest danger level. How did such a powerful warrior appear here?'

His own combat power was only 1500. Now he'd randomly encountered someone with that same strength.

In his panic, Raditz clashed with Shura. The time was too short, and Raditz hadn't recovered from the shock. From the first exchange, he was at a disadvantage. If not for the scouter's timely warning, he would have suffered badly.

The scouter wasn't just for communication and detecting combat power, it also had multiple alert functions. It was essentially a small reconnaissance computer. Its manufacturing process was extremely complex, otherwise, the Frieza Force wouldn't be the only faction to possess them.

Sharp-eyed Shura noticed this. While Raditz wasn't paying attention, he fired two beams from his eyes and destroyed the scouter.

At the same time, Raditz failed to notice that a spaceship of the same model as his had also landed on Earth.

With the spherical spaceship landing, a catfish-like alien emerged from the vessel.

"I never expected Raditz to travel all the way to such a remote place." This alien had purple skin, standard combat armor, and a signature scouter, marking him as a member of the Frieza Force. He chuckled. "Hahaha, right now you should be leading your squad to Huga Star, but your subordinate left on his own. Let me guess what little scheme you're up to, Vegeta. If I discover you've got some secret plot behind Lord Frieza's back..."

This was Cui, a squad leader of the Frieza Force. He was also Vegeta's sworn rival, the two had never seen eye to eye. He possessed strength equal to Vegeta's.

A staggering combat power of 18,000.

"I just love uncovering other people's secrets."

With that, Cui plucked a flower and held it beneath the two tentacles on his chin. He had no nose, these tentacles served that purpose. Cui hurled the flower to the ground and stomped on it repeatedly, grinding the petals to bits. He spoke with disgust, "Disgusting smell. Same as the stench clinging to that Saiyan monkey."

It wasn't that Cui's sense of smell differed from Earth's inhabitants. Rather, the flower he'd just picked was called a Photinia. (For those wondering it smells like human semen, chlorine, ammonia, or rotting fish.)

"Really brings back some unpleasant memories," Cui muttered, pressing the scouter at his ear. (Which unplesant memories only Cui knows.)

With its assistance, he quickly located Raditz, a blazing combat power of 1,500 stood out like a beacon.

"When I expose your scheme and drag you before Lord Frieza, without his favor, what do you have to be so cocky about?" He burst out laughing. "What kind of reward will I get? Maybe a planet?"

Cui glanced at the ground beneath his feet. "This planet seems decent. When I report back, I'll mention it to Lord Frieza too. Though the location is a bit remote, someone should be willing to buy it. Also, I've had it out for Raditz forever. That trash with a mere 1,500 combat power. He always stuck to Vegeta's side, I never found an opportunity. Rarely does he act alone. If I deliver this waste's head to Vegeta, I'd love to see his expression. Hahaha."

At the same time, in the Dark Galaxy far from Earth, another upheaval was unfolding.

The Dark Galaxy, as the name suggested, was a region perpetually shrouded in darkness. It served as another frontier in the Milky Way, corresponding to the Solar System, and was one of the few regions ruled by neither the Frieza Force nor the Galactic Patrol.

Chaos, danger, and terror were its defining traits.

Planet Slug, the main world of the Dark Galaxy, was one of the few life-bearing planets in that region. This world was roughly three times the size of Earth.

Unlike the thriving Earth, this planet was saturated with the breath of death. It was cold and dark, like a freezing hell. Any creature surviving in such extreme conditions inevitably possessed tremendous power.

In truth, the creatures inhabiting Planet Slug were far stronger and more merciless than those of other galaxies. According to certain rumors, the true ruler of the Dark Galaxy was a being even the Emperor of the Universe hesitated to provoke.

A Demon King of absolute chaos and evil.

Yet on Planet Slug, a golden figure and a green figure were locked in fierce combat.

Both possessed terrifying destructive power, casual strikes alone could trigger catastrophic environmental upheavals. Tsunamis, raging thunderstorms, and earth-shaking tremors were merely trifles. Even the satellites orbiting Planet Slug were destroyed by the aftermath of their battle.

The golden figure moved with blinding speed, occasionally unleashing elemental attacks of fire, lightning, water, and earth. The green figure was far simpler he was just colossal.

The green figure's body was at least a hundred times larger than the golden one. Their clash was like a giant swatting at a small airplane.

Except the airplane had the upper hand.

*CRASH!*

A direct collision sent both figures skidding backward. The golden one drifted a few meters through the air. The green one crashed to the ground.

Lord Slug was the true ruler of Planet Slug and the overlord of the entire Dark Galaxy. But unfortunately, this once-invincible Demon King was now in a sorry state.

All because of that golden figure.

He was half-kneeling on the ground, taking heavy, thunderous breaths. His battered helmet had rolled to the side, revealing a pair of green antennae on his head.

"Cough, cough. Your power is formidable. Stronger than any of my subordinates. Even I have to be careful when facing you."

The aged voice came from the green figure. Under the faint glow radiating from the golden figure, an ancient face was revealed. In his gasping mouth, only one or two sparse teeth remained visible.

This Demon King who had ruled the Dark Galaxy for hundreds of years could not resist the erosion of time. He had grown old.

He had wrapped himself in thick capes and layers of clothing, worn a helmet, and hidden his true body, all to conceal his aging. At the same time, he had become increasingly brutal, killing his subordinates on a whim. Many of those he slaughtered possessed outstanding talents. All of it was to cover up the truth of his waning power.

In the Dark Galaxy, the strong ruled. Once his subordinates discovered their King had aged, rebellion would follow. The most loyal followers would, when the time came, become the most ferocious. After all, he himself had risen to power the same way. This was the law of survival in the Dark Galaxy. A naked law of the jungle.

So Lord Slug began searching for methods to restore his youth and regain his vigor.

Unfortunately, before he could find a way, the golden figure found him first. Not only had his elite subordinates been killed or wounded to the point of exhaustion, but he himself had been beaten miserably.

All the efforts Lord Slug had made were now being ruthlessly torn apart by the golden figure.

"Would you consider becoming my subordinate?"

Since I can't beat you, join you, or make you join me. Either way, it was about turning external conflict into internal allegiance.

"What do you say? As long as you nod, you'll become the second-in-command of my army," Lord Slug extended an olive branch.

But the offer held no appeal. The golden figure remained unmoved.

"Your body got bigger. Why did your clothes and helmet grow with it?" Naruto asked, sidestepping the proposal entirely.

Lord Slug wasn't wearing battle armor designed to stretch. He wore ordinary clothes and an ordinary helmet. Yet they expanded alongside him.

It was the magical abilities of Planet Namek. Lord Slug wasn't native to Planet Slug. He had another identity, he was a Namekian.

His father had sent him to Planet Slug as a baby during the great climate shift that struck Namek. It was the exact same situation as Earth's Kami. However, unlike Kami, Lord Slug was among the rare Namekians who loved destruction and possessed an evil heart.

Unlike old King Piccolo, whose evil thoughts emerged from Kami's interactions with humanity, Lord Slug was evil from birth. Moreover, he was a mutant, born with power exceeding that of most combat-type Namekian warriors.

He could easily be called a Super Namekian.

Unfortunately, this Super Namekian had grown too old to maintain his prime form. His once-vibrant green skin had turned dark green, signaling that his lifespan was nearing its end.
