He was listening to the class, while she was busy taking notes.. it was then he saw her properly that day. Her eyes were heavy, no doubt.
"Didn't she sleep?" He thought to himself, without breaking his gaze from her face. He was looking at her, with this intense gaze, which made her look at him.
"Is there something on my face?" She asked while taking down notes, that was enough to snap him out of it. He shook his head and turned his head towards the professor.

It was already 4 PM, and the professor left the class after taking the attendance.
"Study... please, open your books after you go back to your rooms, i cant believe who are going to be moulded into doctors, lazy asses"
Sagnik got up from his seat, ready to make a sprint out of the class, but this time Aanya blocked his way before he could make a run for it.
"What is it with you?" She asked with a dread.
"What do you mean?" He asked, feigning unawareness.
"Come on, dont be such a kid, is it my mistake that he approached me? It is not as if I was dying to talk to him"
This ticked Sagnik off for all the wrong reasons, he shouldn't have let this get to him, but it did anyway.
"I am being a child? I am? Are you so unaware about the way he was looking at you? Anyone would have guessed what he was upto. Except you" He said raising his voice, a little more than he should have let on.
She was shocked, because she was genuinely unaware of that. But, that still doesn't means that she was at the wrong.
"So what? What can I do? It isnt as if I was dying to talk to him. Why am I being punished for his advances? She retorted back, a little hurt.
He genuinely understood that.. she was not at wrong, but he doesnt how to handle this so he just sighs in exasperation, and turns to leave.
But, before he could have left, Aanya caught hold of his wrist, and she didn't miss having 100% of his attention.
He turned towards her dreadfully, he was only able to see a double edged frown on her forehead, he knew this was hurting, but at that moment. He didnt want to utter anything which might hurt her, so he just stood there quietly.
"Come on, we have been through so much together, just stay with me!! Thats all I am asking of you!"
He just looked at the person in front of him. He opened his mouth to say something. But, nothing came out. He tried making sentences but he was incapable of doing that at the moment.
So, he kept shuttling his gaze from his hand then to her face. All he could see was fear, and loneliness.
He freed his wrist from his grasp and goes on his way.
"You can't be doing this, you can't keep on coming and going anytime you want, I am a human being not your favorite toy you cant get enough of." She said with a trembling voice
He stopped in his tracks, turned just enough to see her, and just kept on moving. Making her feel dumbfounded.
