It was a typical Thursday evening. Ginos, Android 16, and I were strolling back to the house after just finishing our shopping trip.
"Man, it's good to be out of their grip for a minute," I said, relief evident in my voice.
"Honestly, Master, this is kind of your fault," Genos replied, with a hint of admonition.
"How is it my fault?" I asked, raising an eyebrow and looking at him with a confused expression.
What genos is trying to tell you is that your charm and willingness to help others, even those who were once your enemies, have affected them mentally. Some of them have fallen in love with you, but"—Android 16 paused to choose his words carefully—"what Genos is trying to tell you is that your magnetism and desire to aid others, despite past conflicts, has left a mark on their minds. They have developed feelings for you, but they also dislike having rivals for your affection."
"OK, but Courtney and Kushina weren't like this before. Sure, they argued at first, but eventually they started getting along and even became friends," I said, trying to recall those times.
"Because, at that point, they had just met you, so they spent an equal amount of time with you. When you brought Miss 18 here, it disrupted that balance, making them clingy. That's probably why they decided to stay at home," Genos explained.
"That actually makes sense. I wonder what they're doing right now and why 17 decided to stay behind," I wondered aloud.
Far away from the location inside the mansion
Courtney was in her full mosquito mode—wings buzzing and ready for battle. Kushina had her eyes glowing with lightning crackling around her, and Android 18's body was engulfed in a vibrant pink aura. She was wearing a form-fitting jumpsuit, which shimmered with white sparks as energy radiated outward.
Android 17 on the left hand was far enough away watching the fight eating some popcorn.
(this is going to be the best cat fight of all time) he claimed in his mind with excitement
"Just remember, you wanted this fight," Courtney warned with a fierce glare.
"No shame in backing out now," Kushina challenged, clenching her fists.
"No way, I'm not backing down. I need to see why Jack even chose to be with you. If you're weak, you won't survive long," Android 18 declared passionately as they charged at each other, energybursting into the air.
Back with us, we had just passed a toy store, where a display caught my eye—an unusual, life-like figure of myself, as well as others in my group.
"We have toys?" I marveled, surprised.
"I'd be surprised if we didn't, Master," Genos replied, raising an eyebrow. "But how did you not know about this?"
"Clearly, I didn't. Plus, it looks like I'm in my Super Saiyan form," I said, noticing my spiky blond hair flashing in the sunlight.
"Super Saiyan? Is that what you call that form?" Genos asked skeptically, prompting Android 16 to give a knowing look.
"Yes, of course he has access to that form. He's used it multiple times in our universe. Though I'm surprised he has it," Android 16 said calmly.
"What do you mean?" Genos asked, confused.
"In the universe we come from, there's an alien race called Saiyans, who can transform into Super Saiyans. If Jack is human, as you claim, he shouldn't be able to access that form," Android 16 explained.
I paused, contemplating. Maybe I shouldn't have brought him here. More heroes could benefit this universe, but how do I explain this to them? How am I able to transform? I know Saiyans are the only ones who can do it naturally. If my DNA wasn't altered, I should still be human. Maybe I need to check my DNA once I get home," I thought, feeling a flicker of concern about my true nature.
"Master, do you have any questions about this?" Genos inquired.
"I'm not sure yet. We do have a lab at home, so once we get back, I want to check my DNA. I shouldn't even have this form, or the other powers that come with it. Unless my DNA has changed, I'm not sure what I am," I replied.
Soon, we arrived at King's location. He said he needed to use the restroom, so he excused himself, leaving the robot to stand guard. He was preparing to fight.
"My scanners indicate that King is a regular human with no supernatural abilities," Android 16 reported.
"Are you sure? He's classified as S-rank, level seven. They wouldn't assign such a rank unless they were certain," I said, skeptical.
"It's possible. According to their records, they've never seen him fight most monsters—whether they're slender or have already been eliminated," Genos added.
"Perhaps you're suppressing his power. I'm not used to the rules of this dimension; they seem to operate differently," Android 16 replied, analyzing.
" anyways I'll go check that out while you two handle this." I said, as I went off to follow king, I watched that started warning towards his apartment as the fight behind him, scared him into his floor, using my elastic abilities. I climbed up there.
I use my electric abilities because I haven't trained them yet so I figured this was a good opportunity.
climb me onto his balcony I went into his room right behind him
" so this is where the famous king lives I thought it would be better." I said, surprising him.
" you you're the leader of the group elemental Tornadoes little brother." he said, trying to appear calm.
" yes I am and where are you doing?" I said, pointing to the game
" no this is nothing. I thought it was an action game." he said trying to appear cool.
As he was about to say something else an announcement went out through the city.
{warning, there is a giant bird, monster In the skies of city M Threat level demon evacuation order has been issued} send the voice of the intercom as I said, bird monster fluid I quickly into King's apartment. I easily cut it, making my fist bigger, stopping it in its place. I forced my hand with Armament Haki.
" I honestly was not expecting this. Do you wanna handle it? I mean you did come to your house and you're supposed to be the strongest man on earth right." I said one to him to tell me as the bird started screeching.
" I admitted I lied on that really a person I barely average, but somehow I end up in impossible situations where people think I don't want to take down those monsters do you have it? I'm a fraud." he yelled, I smart as I charged up in energy blast in my hand, easily destroying the head of the monster killing it. having a little babe, it's blood come on my face.
King looked at me getting a flashback from two years ago a monster with clause I just scratched his face. He was bleeding heavily from that once suddenly a person in weird armor and two weird shooter has appeared. The owner happened destroyed in the battle, but he will save him.
" it was you." he said. A few minutes later, we were sitting down talking.
" so why are you a hero?" I asked
" to be honest, I kinda just got dragged into it. People just assumed I did it, even though in reality it was you. I'm so weak." he said, looking down on himself.
" then why don't you get stronger?" I suggested making him look at me
(this would be a great way to test if the rules of the Dragon Ball universe work in the One Punch Man world if I can teach him kay Then that means anyone here can also win those skills and by helping King I'm getting him as a the future ally) I thought in my mind
"But how." he asked.
" I'll trade you in a few things and soon you'll live up to the legend." I said, as I left a card with my phone number on it.
" call it if you ever want to get serious about Being a hero." I said, disappearing for my spot in truth I move so fast that he couldn't see me as I flew back landing in the mansion as I walked inside in the living room set three girls laughing as they watched some TV show.
" You guys are friends now?" I said, surprised
" why wouldn't we be?" said android 18
" yeah she's not so bad when you get to know her." said Courtney.
I turned 17 who was sitting at the dinner table having a snack I walked over to him tapping his shoulder.
" so what actually happened?" I asked, he pulled out his phone showing me a video on the video three girls. Can we see exhausted as they have been fighting for hours but multiple cuts and bruises all over their bodies.
They're about to engage in another fight when, suddenly, they both collapsed onto their backs, laughter spilling from their lips. Android 18 chuckled and said, "I guess you're not that bad." Kushina shot back with a smirk,
"Not so bad yourself—and you're sure you're mostly human." Courtney, panting heavily, added,
"Honestly, even a genos couldn't fight me at full power like you did." android 18 nodded thoughtfully,
"Yeah, you two weren't half bad either. How about this—no matter what, we're all even in his life, and he will treat us equally." Kushina grinned, "Yeah, if he doesn't, we can always kick his butt." They all burst into laughter.
The video stopped playing, and I turned to observe the three girls, who each shot a sidelong glance at me before returning their attention to the TV. An unsettling chill ran down my spine.
"You've kind of dug your own grave here," said 17.
"Yeah, think about that," I replied. 16 walked in through the door carrying shopping bags filled with groceries. "16, you're here. But where's Gino?" I inquired.
"He went to see his Doctor friend about the robot. We're waiting to see if he can incorporate any of the parts to upgrade himself," 16 replied, beginning to put the bags away.
"Alright, that's good. When you're done, meet me in the laboratory," I said, heading toward the side staircase. This house has several hidden entrances and multiple levels, all installed for security. The secret laboratory, which I personally designed, is located there—as a safeguard in case anything happens to me.
I sat on an examination table as Android 16 tried to draw blood. However, my skin simply scratched instead of being punctured.
"How are you doing that? This shouldn't be physically possible," Android 16 asked, puzzled. "Sorry about that, give me a second," I said, concentrating. I turned off the Scratching power, and he pierced my skin with the syringe to draw blood. He then took the sample to a nearby table and began analyzing it. Several Moments later, he returned with the results.
"It appears you've undergone biological changes. Further analysis indicates you're not fully human," he explained. hearing that still surprised me, though I had suspected it might be true.
"Wait—I'm not fully human? What am I?" I asked.
"It seems that during your adventures, you've experienced genetic alterations. You are approximately 25% hedgehog, 50% human, and 25% Saiyan," he replied. showing the full test results. As he spoke, I activated my system panel.
A message appeared: [The system detects that the host has become distressed upon learning he's not fully human anymore and worries about his future. Do not be concerned; no matter what the future holds, your core identity will remain unchanged outside your human form.] The panel then disappeared.
"So, do you want to tell the others?" Android 16 asked.
"Yes, I think it's best for them to know rather than live in the shadows," I said, walking out with him following.
I explained to them what I had discovered, and they were stunned. However, they expressed support, and we shared a passionate group hug—excluding Genos.
